Perfect little Spot

Stoke Farm
First time I have ever gone away in my campervan alone and I was very nervous but I picked the best place to take it! Owners of Stoke farm were very welcoming on arrival and I felt incredibly safe. There is a lovely farm shop in walking distance and a pub. I will definitely be returning soon.

A great site with easy access, well placed for walks, cycling.

Stoke Farm
The site has good access, three hardstandings and two grass with EHU and water at each pitch. There is also a chemical waste disposal point that’s not mentioned in the CAMC write up. It’s a spacious field so easy to turn and park and has well spaced pitches. The site is relatively new and is very well maintained, it also has good TV reception (not fair) as shown in the CAMH write up. The adjacent field had young bulls in it whilst we were there that were great to watch and there are also stables across the road. The site is very well placed for walking and if cycling you have access the the old Hayling railway line (The Billy Line) which is a foot/cycle way which goes along the western coast of the island with some lovely views and it extends about 5 miles from Havant on the mainland to West Town, you can also get the small ferry over to Portsea Island (Portsmouth & Southsea) with your bike for a small charge from the Western end of the island, which like Hayling is lovely and flat, so it’s easy to cycle around and Portsmouth has lots to do, see and places to eat. When we arrived we got a warm welcome from the farmer Graham, who we found is an expert on the history of the island and it’s families, and his family has farming roots that go back over 400 years on the island. So in summary we found that this CL a great place to stay.

What a find!

Stoke Farm
We loved this site. Access is very easy, though the main road is windy and busy, so egress can be quite be quite exciting with a caravan in tow. A plus for motorhomers is that bus stops in either direction are just a couple of minutes’ walk away. A tap per pitch, and waste water discharged straight into the hedge was just the job for lazy people like us, and a further plus was that the site is so level that you arrive, wind down the legs, and that’s it; time to put the kettle on. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather and so were able to cycle round most of the island, but there is plenty around to do and see if the weather is more uncertain. We can’t wait to return next Spring.

Great little site

Stoke Farm
A lovely local gem for us. Although it was our first visit, it won’t be our last. Hadn’t been to Hayling Island for over 30 yrs so was a real treat for us. Graham came to see us shortly after arrival, lovely friendly chap who offered us plenty of info about the local area. Did loads of walking, had a fantastic lunch in The Ferryboat Inn and had a thoroughly relaxing weekend. Site is a real sun trap too

Great little site!

Stoke Farm
A lovely site, flat large pitches all with electricity & water. Nice views with friendly cows in adjacent field. Footpaths next to site for great walks. Hayling Billy Trail close by for walking or bikes. Great site for dogs, our 3 loved it especially the Billy Trail along the coast.
