Peaceful and Welcoming

Upper Kingston Farm
We stayed here over the August Bank Holiday weekend. There was plenty of room for five units, without being on top of each other and the access was straightforward with no obstacles to worry about. It was a nice base for enjoying some long walks in the area. Hilary was very welcoming, making sure we were nicely settled and offered us good advice on making the most of the area. All the EHU points are in one place, so take a 25m cable if you have one. I understand that an extension can be provided for those on the pitches furthest across the field. Admittedly, there was a local CC Rally going on a couple of fields over, with entertainment running into the late evening, but it was otherwise very tranquil. The local roads were not busy and so there was no traffic noise and the lack of light pollution gave us a great view of the moon. Hilary was kind enough to let us have evening guests who were staying somewhere else nearby, so we could sit and enjoy a meal with friends on one of the last warm(ish) evenings of the month.

Quiet and secure rural site on a working farm

Upper Kingston Farm
We spent the first week in August at Upper Kingston Farm and had a lovely time. Signs on the gate tell you where to pitch and then the site owner, Hilary, comes over when she's around to explain the facilities and to settle up. Pitches are well spaced out, each with its own bin. Electric Hookups all come from 1 point on the site so long cables are required, Hilary did have extensions for those who were too short. The field is relatively level and the location is quiet and rural. There's a petrol station (with Amazon locker) 5 minutes from the site and it's a little further to get to a supermarket (Lidl). You are on the doorstep for the New Forest and the beach is about 20 minutes away too! We love these simple sites, they feel secure and safe and aren't overcrowded! We would have liked more recycling facilities, it was just glass when we were there, but it's certainly a site we will consider returning to when we return to the area for future visits.

Pleasant spot

Upper Kingston Farm
Found CL easily despite down narrow lanes. Now has 4 EHU & price has risen to £5 p/n (plus EHU), but still worth it. TV reception patchy, 4G signal excellent! At time of our visit lambs & calves in adjacent field. Good spot for touring The New Forest.

Nice basic CL

Upper Kingston Farm
We wanted a CL close to the cycle path from Ringwood to Poole (Castleman Trailway ). This CL was ideal. Flat basic pitches. No hook-up but who needs it with Solar panels. Friendly owner
