Why stay here ...

Gooseberry campsite is nestled in the small village of St Nicholas at Wade, a stones throw away from many more popular tourist towns such as Margate, Whitstable, Sandwich and the historic city of Canterbury.

On our site you have 5 hookups and waste disposal, drinking water and a lot of space to enjoy. Expect an outstanding sunrise over the church and breathtaking sunsets over the castle. In the village we have a country pub with amazing food and ales and a post office. Many walks either into the country alongside the rivers or a coastal walk to the golden sands.

We hope to see you soon to enjoy Gooseberry Farm as much as we do.

Beautiful open site with gorgeous views

Gooseberry Farm
Lovely open field with lots of space. The owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous large firepit in the middle of the field. Beautiful area too with lots of places to explore. Would definitely like to return.

Friendliest welcome yet

Gooseberry Farm
Ideal location for exploring this area of Kent. Plenty to see and do. The site has lovely views and a great sunset. It is quiet despite a little development work in the next field. They are building glamping chalets. The local pub is good with a large garden area. We mostly had the whole field to ourselves but I expect this site to get busier as it is discovered by more members. The field is set well away from the dead end access road. We will use this site again.

Great Location

Gooseberry Farm
We had six nights at Gooseberry Farm. What a great location within easy reach of local beaches and amusements. A lovely open site with plenty of room and a warm welcome from Mark who made us most welcome. Will certainly return. John and Denise.

Lovely spacious site

Gooseberry Farm
We stayed on this lovely site on the edge of St Nicholas at Wade for three nights in July and we had the place to ourselves. The site is a new one and had everything we needed. The owner of the site is friendly and couldn't be more helpful. I can recommend this site highly and a bonus is that the village pub is just a ten minute walk away and serves lovely food.

Super site.

Gooseberry Farm
We stayed here for our trip to 149th Open at Sandwich (July 2021). Excellent is the best way to describe this gem of a site. Super hosts and very welcoming. Very, very secure site too. The village pub (The Bell) is first class (beers and food) and easily walkable. Can't recommend this site enough. Really lovely.
