CL of the Year Award 2009 - 2nd Place

CL of the Year Award 2008 - Regional Winner

Our CL has easy access from the M55 and is in a convenient location for Blackpool's tourist attractions or the relaxing atmosphere of Lytham St Annes.

The site itself is a tranquil location with a duck pond and well maintained gardens.

The pitches are all hard standing with electric hook-up and space for awnings. Service pitches are also available on request.

There are several large supermarkets within easy reach and nearby numerous public houses with dining facilities.

The site is an excellent base for visiting the Lake District, Morecambe, Southport or the relatively unknown Forest of Bowland - the geographical centre of Great Britain.

Three times winner of the Club's CL of the Year and regional winners on several other occasions.

Lovely Stay

We have just returned from 3 nights at this CL. It was excellent nice spacious pitches, good views and within easy reach of the motorway Blackpool is only a 10 min drive away and Lytham and St Annes are within easy reach. The owners were friendly and the toilet/shower were kept clean. Overall a nice stay and we certainly plan to return in the future.

Family Winter Break

We stayed at this site for 5 nights with our son and his young family for 5 nights just after Christmas. Jean and Dave made us feel very welcome and the site and its facilities were kept very clean. The pitches were all self service which was very welcome and made using our own shower very easy. The electric was a 10amp supply, so care had to be taken not to trip the supply!! We really enjoyed winter at Blackpool, the beaches were deserted and there was plenty to do without the summer crowds! Laithes Lodge enabled us to have a wonderful family holiday.

Lovely site with one problem

This is a really nice site; easy access, nice and level, really clean shower and toilet facilities and a very welcoming host. The only down side for us was the level of road noise during the day. I suppose that's the price you pay for the convenience of being close to the motorway. Would we return? Yes if we were in the area, but this will not be a destination site.

Gem of a CL

What a wonderful CL this is, a warm welcome awaites visitors, the owners Dave and Jean Clarkson welcome you on site and give you all the information you could require about the site and places to visit and where to eat. The spaces are all hard standing with their own water and grey disposal point, they are divided by small grass verge and small bushes which gives you a sense of privacy. The toilet block has been recently refurbished and has a shower that would be the envy of a larger site and so easy to use and they have thought about other guests by having just a toilet for use if shower is occupied. The elsan point is easy to use. There is a pond on site which is lovely to sit by and they have supplied you with a picnic table to enjoy a cup of tea, the fish in the pond enjoy small amount of bread which add the the enjoyment of an early morning cuppa. This is a beautiful site and well cared for by the owners I spent a wonderful 14 days on site and couldnt have wished for better, this is one of those gems that you wish you could keep to yourself so you were the only one enjoying the tranquil surroundings.

Lovely site

This was our second visit to this ideal CL site, just outside Lytham and we're delighted to find it just as god as before. This really is a little gem of a CL, peaceful, quiet, with excellent facilities. We were on a serviced pitch, with awning for £18 per night, god value. Lucky to have good weather, we barbe'd each night. Owners, Dave & Jean, are friendly & helpful, very nice couple. Will we be back? Yes, definitely, if we can get a pitch on this deservedly popular CL!
