What a wonderful CL! Wish we had found this site years ago as it is an absolute gem. Very peaceful with fantastic views. Access from road a little tight but do-able even with our big twin wheel outfit; we will definitely be visiting again.

Looking Forward To Our Next Visit

Brow Foot Farm
Recently stayed for 8 nights and had a very restful break. A simple site, but none the worse for that. The owner was pleasant and helpful; only had to mention that the bin was full for it to be emptied straight away.

A Little Gem

Brow Foot Farm
This is a wonderful CL site and one of our favourites. Mr & Mrs Oldfield are very welcoming and have provided a really comfortable and peaceful site with lovely views and with a distant sea view as an added bonus. It’s within walking distance of RSPB Leighton Moss and the pretty coastal villages of Silverdale and Arnside are nearby. There is plenty of good walking and cycling from the site. We have returned a number of times and shall continue to do so. We have visited in winter and summer and have never encountered any problems. Russ & Liz Wilson

Setting the record right

Brow Foot Farm
Some previous reviewers have been very critical of this site and almost put us off going. We are pleased we weren't put off as we found the site a little gem: peaceful, quite, beautiful views and not nearly as difficult to access and depart as others had said (and we don't think this is because we have been caravanning over 40 years!) Someone said the owner was evasive, we found him immensely helpful, considerate and having a wonderful dry sense of humour. Plus the area around is full of wonderful walks. It's a farm for goodness sake and Mr Oldman is a farmer. Thanks Mr Oldman for providing us with the opportunity to visit such a wonderful place by setting up your cl. Long may it flourish. Do your homework before booking this site in WINTER or pay the price!

Brow Foot Farm
We had to leave after booking seven nights having only managed 3. The site claims hard standing, it was ankle deep in mud. This site is ONLY hard standing in the dry summer months. Wonderful views in fairness but it is very badly maintained right from the very difficult entrance and broken pathway leading to the site. I wish I could put photos on here they would shock you. It shocked us. The sewage/Elsan point stinks to high hell and is only one and half metres apart from your FRESH DRINKING WATER, fury moss lay all around your fresh water supply. We demanded our money back and left, we were covered in mud inside and out of both our car and caravan and in such a mess it was not possible to move on to another site to clean up so we had to return home a five and half hour journey. One motorhome arrived who took a look and pulled straight off site, not so easy when you're towing. I am sure this is a wonderful place in warm DRY weather but if you go in winter having read this you have only yourself to blame for a rotten stay. Sorry to be negative about this potentially lovely located site but I am telling the whole truth and nothing but.
