Caistor Certificated Locations

The historic market town of Caistor is situated in Lincolnshire, right on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Its pretty town centre presents a host of Georgian and Victorian listed buildings, but Caistor dates much further back than this, with an ancient hillfort once on the same spot and Roman ruins discovered throughout the town.

Visitors can see part of an original Roman wall outside the church of St Peter and St Paul and also the remains of a Roman cemetery from the 4th century BC.

The Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre will provide more information, after which refreshments can be enjoyed at a range of local cafes and restaurants.

Walkers will enjoy exploring part of the Viking Way and the route up to the ancient well Syfer Spring, while a market is held each Saturday for the purchase of produce and gifts to take home.
