Why stay here ...

Oak Tree Holiday Park & Fishery is a quiet and peaceful adult only site close to the villages of Haxey, Misterton, Epworth and Westwoodside which have all the facilities you would require and local pubs.

We are set on 10 acres of land complete with 2 of our own fishing lakes. The main lake is primarily carp fishing and Snake Lake which resembles a canal is stocked with silverfish. Our lakes are available for match fishing and day fishing.

Fendy says shame, sorry to say it was not a good stay.

Oak Tree Holiday Park And Fishery
We were looking forward to staying here but not a good stay I'm afraid, too many needless snags, attitude to customers and health and safety left a lot to be desired, we will not be going back. First disappointment in 30+ years caravaning.

Bigwig Toy Poodle Reports

Oak Tree Holiday Park And Fishery
I stayed for two nights and this is the best campsite so far. The lady who helped us, Allison, was very friendly and kind. We had a lovely pitch overlooking the lake and I could run free in the dog field and walk on lead around the lake. The driver reports that the facilities were clean and we will go back next year. There was a fishing competition on the day we were leaving so anyone who likes fishing would be in heaven.

nice relaxing stay with the added bonus of being an excellent fishing venue.

Oak Tree Holiday Park And Fishery
We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay over the Bank Holiday. We were made very welcome. The setting is beautiful, two super lakes to fish. The CL has been developed to a very high standard and continues to develop tastefully with the visitors comfort paramount. The owners clearly work very hard, the results of which are much appreciated. We had one our dogs with us and she was also made very welcome. The evenings were so peaceful enhanced by great weather. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Perfect for nature lovers.

Oak Tree Holiday Park And Fishery
We had a very warm welcome from Linda and Gary and were given a pitch on the main field which suited us just perfectly. We could see the owl flying over the lake in the evening and we had a vast green expanse in front of us. The toilet and shower block are kept spotless (no shower use at this time due to covid) The grounds are well maintained by Gary who is incredibly passionate about his site. He loves everything about it from the beautiful wildflowers he as sown to his amazing fish that he so obviously is very protective of. He is fantastic and wont take any messing from those fishermen not taking his rules seriously. He is strict but thats because he cares so much about the place. The fish are plentiful and can be seen leaping out of the water to catch flies in the evening. We wholeheartidly agree with his ethics. Here you can see bats in the evening, the owl nesting in the tree that Gary has installed, along with the water birds and hedgehogs. He has left certain areas to grow a little wild to help encourage the local insects and animals to flourish. At night, if the skies are clear, you can get an amazing view of the stars as there is nothing blocking the views and hardly any light polution. There are day fishers and fishing competitions but this didnt impact on our stay at all.... if anything we found it all very interesting. Gary and Linda are hoping to open a small cafe on the site (due to the amount of finshermen that attend) but this has been on hold due to the pandemic. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it, Gary and Linda were great hosts for our few days on site. Thank you
