Give it a chance

We have read some of the reviews and thought we'd give it a go. We loved it. Yes its narrow coming in the entrance, yes you go past caravans stored but none of these were a problem to us. There are cones to keep you away from certain areas but again not a problem. We didnt see the owner but that didnt bother us. The grass is slightly long but at least it doesnt tread in!! The elsan disposal point is by a caravan but we would think it's more of a problem to them than us. Its so peaceful all you can hear are the birds and the rustle of the trees. We had lovely weather and had a gentle walk with our dog to the canal and wondered into Maghull square. Even went to the local carboot sunday morning. Spoke to the owner as to where to post money who was very polite and friendly. Give this place a go. We will be returning.

Shocking should be removed as a cl

Site pitches very poorly marked after a very narrow entrance past very unsightly caravan storage and low trees , nice day but all grass so we got stuck in a very muddy patch , helped by a very nice couple but couldn’t budge the van , knocked on the owners door who very begrudgingly said he would pull us out , went back to wait and were even told “ he’s very grumpy he’ll not be happy “ owner arrived and shouted “ there’s a cone there to stop people like you from going in that area “ put some proper signs over your marshland maybe ! Very offhand even to the wife who was quite upset by his manner , should be struck off the network and we ave complained to the club , we didn’t stay on the site but found a very friendly one nearby

Tall Ships

I used this site to visit the Tall Ships event in Liverpool. My only issue was that the site marking is not very clear until you are on top of it but that probably because it is in a residential area. The site was well presented and the grass mowed. There was plenty of space for the caravan and to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. You passed the water and bins on the way in but finding the waste water area was a little challenging. The owner was friendly but not invasive. We both enjoyed it.

Poor

The owner was obviously well past caring about the site and showed very little interest in the campers, in fact he didnt set foot on the site to my knowledge. He was more intersted in the storage side of things where 30- odd caravans, trailers doughnut van etc encroached onto the site, and one caravan, obviousy a semi live-on blocked the passage to the chem and grey water emptying area. I even had to post my fee through his letterbox. He couldnt even be bothered to come and collect it. I1ll not be back.

What a nice surprise

Entrance off the road a little tight if you have a long rig and then you are met by big steel gates. Open them and drive in passed some stored vans into a beautiful open area with nicely cut grass You don't see them when parked up. We used it only for 1 night before the IOM ferry but the drive into L/pool the next day was simple. This site was so quiet and bright and would make a good base for exploring the city. Previously booked and did not see the owner so put the payment through the box. Don't care if he was green with 7 legs the site was great especially at £12 !!!
