View and BookWinfarthing Fighting Cocks is a family run public house located in the beautiful area of South Norfolk and has some great facilities to make a relaxing break in the countryside. The caravan site is attached to a 17th Century public house, which offers 5-star traditional home cooked food, using locally sourced fresh produce. The pub has been awarded the title of being the most family friendly pub in South Norfolk and pours an award-winning pint of Guinness. It also hosts traditional pulled ales, guest ales, lagers and a full range of optics and mixers. Free Wifi & WC Facilities are available. The pub has a pool table and dart board.
The pitches for caravans are located at the rear of the pub and situated on a 9-acre grassed open field, access is easily available through the pub’s car park…. there is ample room to play games, walk the dog, BBQ, or just sit and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The site is dog friendly, and even offers a local dog walking, boarding or doggy daycare using ‘Paula’s Pawsome Pet Service’ should you wish to venture out to places without your dog.
Local Area – Diss, Norfolk
Diss Town is a picturesque market town with fine examples of architecture, including timber framed buildings and Georgian/Edwardian facades. The town is home to sporting organisations including Diss Town FC and Diss RFC. There is a mere, which is a 6-acre lake, said to be the 2nd deepest in the country. Poet John Skelton was born in Diss in 1460. He became tutor to the young Henry VIII, before returning to the town as rector.
