Why stay here ...

Abbey CL, also known as Pentney Abbey, is a rural retreat located in the Nar Valley. We are surrounded by many miles of beautiful, peaceful countryside that visitors are free to explore. We are an adults only site. We are located over 2 miles away from any main roads. The site is a large, well-drained and sheltered grass field. Each pitch is supplied with electrical hook ups and mains water so your stay will be easy and comfortable.

We are linked directly to many miles of peaceful walks. The Nar Valley Way runs along the edge of our property and is recognised as one of the major footpaths of Norfolk. We can also arrange favourable rates at the nearby health and fitness centre. If you wish to explore a little further afield, we are in easy reach of the North Norfolk Coast and Sandringham is only a few miles away for those who enjoy sightseeing.

A fantastic out of the way quiet CL with good Covid measures

We visited in early September and soon realised Toby has done a fabulous job to make the CL Covid secure. We had great communication and details on booking and that the CL is currently only booking 2 pitches and fully sanitises between bookings. The approach takes you up to the Abbey and is most impressive no wonder it’s a wedding venue when open. Huge pitches. EHU and water on pitch, short walk to chemical disposal but the surroundings make it easy work. Good walks direct from site, great dark skies and very peaceful apart from RAF Markham night exercises but not intrusive to us. If you like peace and quiet with walks along rivers and fields this is a must. Thank you Toby and team if we are ever in the area you’ll get our business

A Little Expensive now.

A first class CL which I have used in the past. No facilities except EHU but a little expensive at £18.50 in June 2017 under the new owners..

Great CL

We wanted to visit longer but only had one night in  early April 2016 en-route home and we will be back!  The site is great with good facilities and firm level pitches in a well-sheltered field close to a spectacular refurbished abbey gatehouse.  The owner is very welcoming and there are plenty of dog walks in the large area of land that is part of the owners patch.  We look forward to our return.

Fabulous!

A lovely CL site at Pentney Abbey with fabulous dog walks from the site along the river Nar to Narborough or a 10 mile circular walk.  The site is sheltered by trees and is extremely well maintained.  We had a private viewing of the restored Gatehouse of the Abbey by Howard which was fascinating and definitely worth doing if you have the opportunity.  There are some great places to visit locally Castle Rising, Castle Acre, Sandringham and the town of Kings Lynn.  A wonderful CL, highly recommended.
