Moorcock Hall Farm
Site access does require quite a tight turn, the pull in is immediately after a traffic calming bollard. Once into the site, there is a hard surface to drive on initially, though you are soon on to grass. The site must be fairly well drained - though our visit followed extensive rainfall, resulting in some soft ground at the very end of the strip of land forming a sub fence from a field used for cattle grazing. To be honest, to get full spacing between five pitches was a bit challenging, given that the width really only permits pitching in a single line. So it needs some discipline from all visitors to achieve safe spacing. That’s a bit of a pity as so many CLs are constrained by location of electrics, which was not the case with this CL, as you are off grid here ! Grass is meadow grass and cut accordingly - quite suitable for pitching on. All the usual facilities were to hand and functional.
The views are to die for, with uncluttered rural views across tranquil fields to the far hill line, and cattle grazing nearby - a rural odyssey. During our visit silage making was in full flow - so much tractor activity was in evidence but not intrusive to us and this activity is by its nature short lived.
The owner was helpful and friendly, with offers of assistance if traction became a problem.
So - a qualified affirmation of a CL with attractive views, worth a repeat visit !

Relaxing stay. Perfect
Moorcock Hall Farm
Alan was very welcoming and do to the very wet weather we stayed on his hard standing near the barns. Beautiful views. Lovely pub 5 mins walk away. Great spot to stay and especially £10 for a night. Will definitely stay again. Thank you

Beautiful Spot
Moorcock Hall Farm
Stayed here in May. Lovely spot on working cattle farm, friendly owner gave us local information and showed us his calves he was hand rearing Easy access onto site from road. As a previous reviewer said, a bit of noise from adjacent road, mainly at peak times, but certainly not intrusive. Far reaching views with lovely sunsets. great for visiting Knaresborough and further afield. Will certainly be back if we're in the area again. Lovely stay.

Moorcock Hall Farm
Stayed for 2 nights in October 22. Owner very welcoming and very helpful. Easy walking distance to Knaresborough. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.. A little road noise, but very little noise later at night. Would not put me off going again at all.
Great Little Site
Moorcock Hall Farm
Stayed for 2 nights while visiting the Great Yorkshire Show. We were able to leave the van at the site and cycle into Harrogate which was ideal considering the amount of traffic during the event. The owner Alan couldn't have been more helpful and gave us advice on the best cycling route.
Lovely surroundings and enjoyed watching the cows with their little inquisitive calves.
Thanks very much - hope we can come back soon.
