Why stay here ...

Old Pasture Park

We are a family run working farm situated approximately six miles south of York just outside the tranquil village of Stillingfleet. The site has unrivalled farmland views with a stunning backdrop of Long Rush Wood. Old Pasture Park offers a wide variety of services including agricultural contracting, a stunning spring/summer wedding venue, beautiful seasonal cut flowers and a recently established caravan park for those who like to escape to the heart of the countryside.

The park has its own lake, which is not available for fishing, but is a perfect setting around which to walk your dog whilst being able to observe some of the wildlife that use the area as their habitat including ducks, oyster catchers and moorhens. Indeed these are not the only animals to be seen on site. Being a working farm, this CL (Certificated Location) site has a medium sized herd of suckler cows with calves that graze in the fields surrounding the park in the summer months.

The CL site has well spaced electrical hook up and water points and is distanced well away from any roads. Spacious (7.5x9m) hard-standing pitches (4) and 1 grass pitch provides enough room for awnings. Grey water and chemical disposal units are available in addition to general waste and recycling bins. For your safety and security the farm has CCTV and an electric gate upon entry. Security details will be provided on completion of booking.

Our regularly updated website and social media pages show the beauty of the park throughout the seasons. A unique and secluded setting, Old Pasture Park is a hidden gem set in a stunning and captivating part of North Yorkshire.

FANTASTIC SITE

Well what can I say, the BEST CL we have ever been to. The entrance was easy, with a beautiful drive. Sam was ready to greet us and showed us our pitch. The pitch has manicured grass And hard standing and even though we were there in the floods no water on site. As a working farm it was spotless, nothing like a normal farm that is full of rusty junk. The 馃悇 were adorable and we were lucky enough to be there when lots of calves were being born so each day was spot the new calf. Nothing was to much trouble for Sam and David and David鈥檚 wife Caroline even dried my coat when it got very wet. We had massages to let us know if local roads were closed in the floods which was really appreciated. Really easy to get to different places with local bus or park and ride. My only regret is we live so far away so won鈥檛 be able to go very often but after 10 days we Had to pack up but wished we could have stayed longer. By the way they do storage on hard standing as well if anyone needs it. Thank you Sam and David for an absolutely great 10 days, you both helped make it. We should send some site owners to you to see how it is done. Sue and Terry Hawkins.

Excellent CL site

We recently visited Old Pasture Park and have to say what a beautiful and welcoming site this is. Set in a very clean and tidy farm surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland, we were made to feel so very welcome by Sam, David and Caroline. Nothing was too much trouble to them and they are most definitely the friendliest site owners we have met. Just a short distance from York and Scarborough, the site is beautifully placed for both weekend trips and longer holidays and can be used all year round as they have recently added four hard standings. Certainly the BEST CL we have ever used.Well Done to such a fantastic team. Nina & Eric Kemp

Outstanding site - best new CL in the UK.

We have just returned after 10 brilliant days at this site. The location, the layout, the peace and quiet, the space and in particular, the welcome from Sam and his family, have combined to make this the best CL experience ever. We cannot praise too highly the quality and cleanliness of the location; the attention to detail and design. Even the cows are spotless! It's a newly opened site this year and we understand that plans are afoot to put in hard standings so that the season can be extended. That being the case, it will certainly be an advantage for those wishing to visit York's Christmas activities. Another boost would be internet connection for planning purposes for the exploration of the area, and although not essential, a small WC/bathroom block would complete the package. Now that we have found it, we'll certainly be back as soon as possible. It was very hard to pack up and leave this idyllic location and the homely, friendly owners. Many thanks Sam and family. You deserve to succeed! Nannapanna and Opapopa 18/09/2019

Hidden Gem

This is a great CL and we have been to quite a few. We were greeted by Sam who gave us all the information we needed for our stay. Well maintained, nicely set out, well back from the road so no road noise! You wouldn't think it was a working farm, we didn't notice any noise whilst we were there. On a bus route into York which we used every day. We would certainly come back again when we are visiting the area and would recommend it. We would like to thank David & Sam for their hospitality and kindness during our stay. Phil & Marilyn.
