Why stay here ...

Old Pasture Park

We are a family run working farm situated approximately six miles south of York just outside the tranquil village of Stillingfleet. The site has unrivalled farmland views with a stunning backdrop of Long Rush Wood. Old Pasture Park offers a wide variety of services including agricultural contracting, a stunning spring/summer wedding venue, beautiful seasonal cut flowers and a recently established caravan park for those who like to escape to the heart of the countryside.

The park has its own lake, which is not available for fishing, but is a perfect setting around which to walk your dog whilst being able to observe some of the wildlife that use the area as their habitat including ducks, oyster catchers and moorhens. Indeed these are not the only animals to be seen on site. Being a working farm, this CL (Certificated Location) site has a medium sized herd of suckler cows with calves that graze in the fields surrounding the park in the summer months.

The CL site has well spaced electrical hook up points and is distanced well away from any roads. A spacious grassy area on each plot provides enough room for awnings. Grey water and chemical disposal units are available in addition to general waste and recycling bins. For your safety and security the farm has CCTV and an electric gate upon entry. Security details will be provided on completion of booking.

Our regularly updated website and social media pages show the beauty of the park throughout the seasons. A unique and secluded setting, Old Pasture Park is a hidden gem set in a stunning and captivating part of North Yorkshire.

Outstanding site - best new CL in the UK.

We have just returned after 10 brilliant days at this site. The location, the layout, the peace and quiet, the space and in particular, the welcome from Sam and his family, have combined to make this the best CL experience ever. We cannot praise too highly the quality and cleanliness of the location; the attention to detail and design. Even the cows are spotless! It's a newly opened site this year and we understand that plans are afoot to put in hard standings so that the season can be extended. That being the case, it will certainly be an advantage for those wishing to visit York's Christmas activities. Another boost would be internet connection for planning purposes for the exploration of the area, and although not essential, a small WC/bathroom block would complete the package. Now that we have found it, we'll certainly be back as soon as possible. It was very hard to pack up and leave this idyllic location and the homely, friendly owners. Many thanks Sam and family. You deserve to succeed! Nannapanna and Opapopa 18/09/2019

Hidden Gem

This is a great CL and we have been to quite a few. We were greeted by Sam who gave us all the information we needed for our stay. Well maintained, nicely set out, well back from the road so no road noise! You wouldn't think it was a working farm, we didn't notice any noise whilst we were there. On a bus route into York which we used every day. We would certainly come back again when we are visiting the area and would recommend it. We would like to thank David & Sam for their hospitality and kindness during our stay. Phil & Marilyn.

lovely site near to York but quiet and relaxing

We were staying in York at the site we enjoy staying. But it is always busy, busy, busy. We had to move so took a chance getting on to a CL over the bank holiday weekend and how lucky we were. This site is an excellent CL. We will be trying to staying here in the future when we visit York again. Getting to it is simple, just follow the directions given on the web page. What you see in the pictures is what you get. A well set out site with a selection of pitching areas around the oval or in the middle if that is your preference. The pitches are all level and the owner has said they will be adding hard stand pitches in next year. The views from the pitch's are excellent with forest to one side, grazing areas for the owners cows on the others and beyond that acres of open land. The owners were attentive and helpful on arrival and again during our stay. Pointing out that we could take our dog for a walk around their lake and offering to help start my car as I had let the battery drain. This is a working farm and access to the site is through the farm itself making it unsuitable for children to stay on the site with farm machinery occasional being used. For us it is a great alternative site instead of staying in one of the busiest sites in the country but with easy access by car or public transport into York. Finally, I would add this is a great site for those who like to star watch, satellite chase, as there is little light pollution and plenty of visible sky.

Serene Tranquility

We stayed for 5 nights on this newly opened site following a last minute change to our plans, which was confirmed by email and text. David (Dad) greeted us and explained the site, facilities and showed us to the pitches and as only the second visitor plenty of choice on an approximate one and half acre area with 6 power bollards so plenty of hook ups. The whole farm is immaculately maintained with all grassed areas frequently cut and collected, the open nature of the site provides country side views from all angles and although this is a working farm its peaceful with only an occasional hum of machinery. This CL is a credit to both David and Sam (Son) who considering are new to the CL business have produced an excellent facility. We shall certainly be visiting again well done to all the family.

Fantastic new CL in a great location

We were the first official guests on this fantastic new CL and received a lovely friendly welcome from the owners David and Sam. The site is flat and well laid out with loads of room between pitches. The pitches are currently of good quality grass and when we arrived although there had just been 2 weeks of rain the ground was in excellent condition and well drained. Hard standing pitches are planned for 2020 to enable all year round opening. Lovely field and woodland views and very peaceful but as this is a working farm you can occasionally hear farm vehicles. There is a bus stop just 40 metres from the entrance of the site which will take you into York if you don't wish to drive, plus there are many places to visit in the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and felt totally relaxed from the moment we arrived, so much so we have booked another two separate weeks and cannot wait to return.
