Extremely disappointing

Ravenshill Caravan Site
£25 per night too expensive for an rough uneven car park. Drinking Water, electricity and waste disposal being the only facilities. Limited WiFi in a phone box. The CL is part of a lodge holiday park. No interaction with owners. Levelling blocks are definitely required. The local area is beautiful,we enjoyed a bike ride around the lake . Maps etc required as no local information available on site Would we visit again NO. Much nicer more welcoming campsites available at a much more reasonable rate

Beautiful setting with incredible stars!

Ravenshill Caravan Site

We came for 1 night and stayed for 3! Excellent access, fantastic location with large hard standing pitches next to the owners beautiful stone house. Each van gets their own little area with water and electric, really lovely layout with excellent attention to detail. Good wifi too! Very dog friendly and nothing was too much effort for the owner. Everything is well thought out, easy to use and beautifully presented. The location is great for cycling, walking, exploring and being right in the heart of the forest. Fantastic position for sunsets and then at night the forest comes alive with owls and being in the dark skies zone the stars are breathtaking. Come with supplies as you don't get shops in the woods as this is wonderfully just surrounded by trees, it is peaceful, calm and natural...but eggs can be bought on site. Delighted to have found this gem and hope to be back one day.

Dark Sky Area

Ravenshill Caravan Site
Great views, close to all walks and bike rides. Rode around Kielder lake, amazing scenery, and spotted an Osprey. Great location, no light pollution even in summer, plan to to back in winter as it’s the 2nd largest dark Sky in Europe. Owners made the park all hard standing for winter use. Observatory needs to be booked ahead. They have just put WiFi In the phone box. Great time.

Great location

Ravenshill Caravan Site
This site is an ideal spot for exploring Kielder Forest and lake, lovely walks and cycle paths. It is an all weather site so no grass so not overly conducive to sitting around outside but the views are lovely. Beware of the midges! Individual water tap at each pitch which is handy, EHU, cassette waste point and grey water soak away also on site. No Wi-fi or phone signal and no info on site so do all your research before arrival. Come equipped with all your supplies as there are no shops £25 per night.

Check price

Ravenshill Caravan Site
We booked this site for two nights by email we were asked for a £20 deposit which we transferred .the website states the price is £18 pn After transferring I emailed again to make sure it had arrived and for a balance to pay and received no reply. We turned up to be asked for £25 per night when we questioned this she dropped the price to £20 pn I know prices can change but I felt deliberately misled and if the price was stated correctly you can then make your decision based on that. I would urge anyone wanting to stay here to check the price
