Great location

Ravenshill Caravan Site
This site is an ideal spot for exploring Kielder Forest and lake, lovely walks and cycle paths. It is an all weather site so no grass so not overly conducive to sitting around outside but the views are lovely. Beware of the midges! Individual water tap at each pitch which is handy, EHU, cassette waste point and grey water soak away also on site. No Wi-fi or phone signal and no info on site so do all your research before arrival. Come equipped with all your supplies as there are no shops £25 per night.

Check price

Ravenshill Caravan Site
We booked this site for two nights by email we were asked for a £20 deposit which we transferred .the website states the price is £18 pn After transferring I emailed again to make sure it had arrived and for a balance to pay and received no reply. We turned up to be asked for £25 per night when we questioned this she dropped the price to £20 pn I know prices can change but I felt deliberately misled and if the price was stated correctly you can then make your decision based on that. I would urge anyone wanting to stay here to check the price

Place to get away from it all

Ravenshill Caravan Site
This site is remote and benefits from the dark skies that Kielder offers. Sit out and listen to the nightlife whilst watching the stars. The pitches are well placed to enjoy views across the North Tyne valley. Facilities include a motorhome service point and drinking water stands are close to the pitches. The local facilties including a public house and bike hire are less than 20 mins walk away. Will be returning in the future.

Great place to stay

Ravenshill Caravan Site
If you’re into the stars then you need to go here. We had a beautiful clear night and the sky was breathtaking. Great walks and a lovely pub within easy walking distance. £25 a night though, so nowhere near the £18 mentioned on the website. Also, the owner could have been a little more help, especially when the water was frozen up, but, not a big deal.

A real getaway

Ravenshill Caravan Site
We stayed 4 nights here, and enjoyed being able to walk into the forest from the site, or to the lake. A great base for walking and cycling, and for the places of interest along Hadrian's Wall if you don't mind a (very pleasant) drive. Make sure you're stocked up with supplies, and don't expect to get a phone signal. On the other hand, you're in a dark sky area, and the stars are beautiful on a clear night. Lovely views, although there are holiday chalets just below you. It might not be so peaceful in peak holiday season. Friendly and helpful owners.
