Lovely site

We have had a lovely 5 nights here post this recent lockdown. Great site to access lots of lovely places. Very peaceful - there was something quite nice about the noises of the trains and they didn’t disturb us at all. I think all the fresh sea air knocked us out for the night! Very friendly owners. Would definitely return.

Great site but the railway was a bit intrusive.

Beautiful site with friendly people. It was really well maintained and the views were great. Great local pub within easy reach and the location was ideal for Alnwick, Seahouses (great boat trip to see the seals) and Bamburgh. The railway was loud, but it stopped eventually for the night and started up early in the morning. We would still go back because everything else was perfect.

Lovely site.

Owners really friendly. Site is very neat and tidy. At this time of year full hook up and hardstanding were important to us. We stopped for 2 nights end of October en route south from holidaying in Scotland. People have mentioned the trains, but when your are out sightseeing it doesn't matter they stop overnight and we like trains! Would come again. Had lovely day despite Covid Alnwick Castle gardens and then went on boat trip to see Grey Seals and pups at Farne Islands. Something we've always wanted to do but never got around to it! Meeting old friend tomorrow before heading South back home. Gabrielle

October break

Spacious, peaceful, neat and tidy with spotless facilities. Warm welcome. Each pitch has ample hard standing for vehicle and awning. Great location for Bamburgh, Seahouses, The Farnes, Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Craster and Dunstanburgh.

A lovely CL

We arrived on this site in late September for a seven night stay and were immediately impressed with the site layout and general appearance. All facilities are well maintained and there is a small information area where leaflets from surrounding attractions are available. Whilst it is true to say that the nearby railway line was quite busy, we did not find it particularly obtrusive - nor were we disturbed by road noise, despite the fact that we were on the nearest pitch to the road. The site is well placed to enjoy the lovely scenery and historic sites. All in all, our stay was most enjoyable and we would not hesitate to return.
