Disappointing

We've stayed on rural sites for many years but have never been on such a noisy site and hope never to again. Road noise on the Sunday afternoon was bad and then the large tractors and other farm contracting equipment came out - horrendous. It is now 10.30 pm and still it goes on.

Great site for exploring

On booking this CL via email I was sent a very informative information pack about the site itself and the local area. The site is easy to find and level with very pleasant surroundings. Unfortunately as we were there over a weekend we didn't get to sample the local butcher. We visited Rothbury which had a lovely fish and chips shop that seemed very popular. Kielder Water and Forest Drive are worth looking at. The main reason we chose this site was the easy access to Druridge Bay, 7 miles of sandy beach that is perfect for dog walking and on our many visits has never been crowded.

Pleasant site

Only stayed for 1 night on our way up to Scotland but the owners could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We sampled the delights of the area visiting Cragside - a must for anyones visit. Also we would encourage anyone (as the owners did) to visit the village grocers and butchers - absolute gems! We stocked up for our onward journey. Thankyou for making us so welcome even though it was only for 1 night.
