Great find

Our Daughter lives nearby in Marcham so we needed a site close to her, we were very pleased with the site ,quiet, secluded and well kept. The parking areas are on grass, fortunately it was dry as we have a motorhome. We were given the choice of parking on a gravel area if we wanted to. We met With the Lady of the farm who was very helpful and informative. We will be returning in the future. recommended

Rural stop over

We love the rustic charm of CL sites and this one did not disappoint although the grass is clearly cut infrequently and it was a bit like pitching up in a hayfield for our 2 night stop over. Good access with level pitches and some local traffic but this was not an issue for us. Free range eggs for sale on adjoining farm about 500m further down the lane. Confirm there is a cattery adjoining the CL but no sight or sound of any 'guests' at time of writing.

Very tranquil stopover

Stayed just one night here and found we had the CL to ourselves, which was fine for us as we wanted a peaceful stopover. The obliging owner let us both arrive a bit early and leave mid-afternoon as the CL was otherwise empty. As others have said, there was a little bit of road noise but absolutely no dogs barking from the kennels nor noise from the construction work going on on the other side of the farm. I can't really endorse the comment about beautiful views as the site is essentially flat with no scenic views over the countryside ...but we enjoyed watching the sheep in the adjacent field who came right up near the fence and there were also lambs to see in a pen nearer the entrance. We had a decent meal at The Plough Inn in nearby West Hanney. Altogether a very quiet and pleasant stopover and we would visit again.

Nice place to stay

Stayed here for one night to break a journey home from France. Good site, next to a dog kennels but did not hear one single bark in the time that we were there. Negatives: Little bit of road noise but not bad, when we were there the grass was long which could make life difficult if it was wet - was hot for us and so access on and off was easy. Would certainly go back if we needed a site in that area again.
