A site with wonderful views

This site has a superb view towards Shrewsbury and the Stiperstones. If you are a short motorhome, you can also access the site from the South (Shelve), but large motorhomes or caravans really ought to follow the directions in the Guide Book, A really lovely site, with good hookups and a delightful family running it.

What a View

This is an excellent site, the view from the caravan is one of the best. In Stiperstones village 1mile away the shop is an Aladdins Cave well worth a visit. The Bog Centre is open every day with fresh baked cakes and other hot refreshments Dogs welcome. Beware if you have large dogs some of the beautiful marked walks do NOT have dog friendly stiles. We had a great holiday and will be returning.

Magnificent View

We stayed at this site over the Spring Bank holiday weekend. The view from the site is just magnificent with the Shetland ponies in the foreground capping it off. The site slopes very gently downwards to the front but is nice and level left to right. The approach road in is narrow in places but does appear to carry very little traffic, we did not notice and significant noise from the adjacent hill. We had no contact with the owners until we came to pay at the end of our stay. It is good to see they have recycling bins on site. We ate at the local pub in Stiperstones, the meal was basic but with plenty to eat. The shop adjacent to the pub was described by others on the site as an Aladdins cave but we did not visit this, the sign outside also indicates that tourist Information is available here.

Very nice CL

This is a very nice CL with friendly hosts and lovely views in the heart of excellent walking country. Plenty of space, nice and quiet, with electrics and basic facilities on slightly sloping grass that drains well. Shop at the local pub is like Aladdin's cave. The approach route is a bit narrow in places, but otherwise faultless. Will be back.

Good Walking for The Stiperstones

Ideal site for walking the Stiperstones, no need to drive just put on boots and walk. Local pub in walking distance but best visited as part of the circular walk at the end of the Stiperstones. TV reception excellent if required. Need to drive to the Co op at Minsterley if you need to buy food or wine. Site quiet and ideal as walking base for the Stiperstones Ridge. As mentioned by other reviewers some road noise due to adjacent steep hill and not much for children. Pub is not bad but did not try the food from what we saw it was a simple menu certainly not a gastro pub. Beer was good and was proper ale.
