So peaceful

We went for one night, but stayed to. Well maintained with a massive field for dog walking. All the facilities were clean. Lovely views up the fields. Felt like miles from anywhere… Perfect. Host very welcoming and helpful. Follow the web site directions as they are accurate to get you to the farm. Narrow lanes but passing places and very doable. Highly recommended this gem.

Basic and Brilliant

Following on from what other reviewers have said; this is a lovely site run by a lovely lady. We were the only people there and absolutely loved the peace and tranquillity. We will return.

A fantastic rural retreat

We only stayed for one night and it was very much a quick visit but the site exceeded our expectations. Marilyn was very welcoming and explained that we could walk our dog around the grounds. We wandered along the daffodil walk to the lake which was a real beauty spot. We later walked into Claverly and had a lovely meal in The Plough where we met some welcoming locals and chatted the night away. I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a peaceful, rural get away. We really enjoyed our stay and it was just what we looking for (we like quiet sites, in rural locations, away from the hustle and bustle). Alfie, our Irish Setter also had a great time and Marilyn was very welcoming of him too.

A gem

Just home from our second visit and it was every bit as good as we remembered. Don’t be put off by comments about access, because the reward is quiet, tranquility and beautiful surroundings. Just take heed of the instructions and don’t rely on GPS. We use CL’s as we don’t like big busy sites and we don’t need extra facilities. Woodspring Farm meets our needs. Apart from the sheep in the adjacent fields and the birdsong you can’t hear a sound and definitely no traffic noise. Marilyn the owner is friendly and helpful. The Plough in Claverly is dog friendly with good food.

Extremely peaceful CL

Enjoyed a brief one-night stay on this CL, while visiting family nearby. The site was level, very peaceful, clean and spacious. There had been a slight mix-up on dates, so the owner had originally been expecting us a week earlier. We did not therefore meet her until the morning of our departure and as the CL site is quite a way from the farmhouse it did feel extremely remote, particularly in the dark, which might not suit every visitor. However, Miss Riley was very friendly when we did meet her and had been helpful in guiding a taxi driver to the site for us. Even though the taxi driver presumably had good 'local knowledge' he struggled to find the farm initially. As others have said, follow Handbook instructions to reach the site. Would recommend this CL and visit again.
