I needn't have worried.

I was slightly worried by one review but with a friendly welcome I was made to feel at home. It's a lovely spot. Don't motor homes carry their own hosepipes? The water is behind a mobile home but easily accessible. With building work almost complete this is a little gem in my view. I am extremely glad I checked the route on Google Earth though! Sat nav wasn't aware of new road found Cannington but I just followed the Hinckley Point signs until almost there. I am looking forward to the tide coming in and more walking.

perfection again

This was our third time of visiting the site and as usual, were welcomed by Mr Sellick. I have to say that some updates are needed for the website as the current price listed is £6.50 for one night and £5.50 for more than one night. Mr Sellick advised us they had increased theprice by £1 per night but it was not on the website or in the book. I was happy to pay and will continue to be happy to pay as this is one of the most amazing places we have visited. The peace and quiet of the coast is the best and the walks along the sea front are fabulous especially at night. We cannot go again this year but are looking forward to visiting again next year at least twice.

Will be better

Welcoming owner very cheerful. Having phoned in advance disappointed to find six vans. Good for walks and views once up on sea defences. Elsan disposal rinse connected to only undesignated tap on field by long hose. Separate tap behind mobile home inaccessible by motorhomes so filler tank required. Lots of building rubble and rubbish currently due to new house extension. It will be nice when finished.

absulute perfection

we have visited this site twice and plan to return again later this year. the site is small but perfect. within 100yds is the beach. this is not a childrens beach though as it is very rocky. further along the coast, probably about a mile is the sandy beach so its worth the walk if you are up for it. a mile to the left of the site is Hinckley point power station but it in no way hinders the site. it is a little tricky getting to the site as it is along very narrow lanes but worth it wen you get there. There is no facilities other than water and waste but it is perfect for us with the dogs. plenty of quiet seaside to roam along and enjoy. if you have children, burnham on sea is not too far, there is also plenty of small seaside towns as well as bridgewater within easy driving range. for us it is absolute perfection.

Great site

A lovely site with access to the sea wall from where you can walk for miles. Given a warm welcome by the owner , very relaxed and informal. Fresh fish available daily from their little shop ( as long as you are happy with whole , just landed catch) and eggs from across the road. Will definitely be returning
