Lovely rural campsite

We have stayed at Garslade Farm about 4 times over the past few years and we have enjoyed our stays every time. Michael and Bridget are really lovely hosts and make you feel so welcome. The site is a great location, easy access to Glastonbury, you can easily cycle into too. Wells is just up the road, Saturday market not to be missed. If you are heading to the campsite, easiest access is going past Isle of Avalon campsite, other access road a bit tight and easily missed. 2 showers and 2 toilets as well as outside pot sink and fresh water as well as waste sink. Facilities are basic, but none the less good considering lots of CL sites provide nothing. For £15 a night including hook up, it's amazing value. Not forgetting the site looks onto the Tor, what more could you want?

Easter at Garslade

Just spent a very wet and muddy Easter at the site. The weather was awful but we had a good time. This was due in no small part to the friendly, welcoming, helpful and humerous attitude of Bridget and Michael. Will definitely be returning but hoping for better weather.

Wonderful hosts

The location is peaceful, and the only noises are farmyard ones; sheep bleating and birds singing. The site is really spacious so that you can pitch as close or far away from others as you need to. The Tor can be seen from all places, and is just three miles away. The toilets and showers are what you'd expect on a working farm, but were made special by clean hand towels and hand soap. The joy of this stay was the hosting from Mike and Bridget. They kindly gave us a lift to the local pub, which is an amazing find for food and drinks. They waited for us to finish our meal, and brought us back to the site, as I'm not sure we would have navigated the short 20 minute walk in the dark. Mike was round every day to have a friendly chat and offer advice for day trips and excellent local information.

Ideal for visiting the Levels

Good level site. Great view of the Tor, ideally situated for exploring the levels. Facilities basic but fine.
