Why stay here ...

Kiboko CL is a small family run site located in a conservation area, on the edge of Boxford Village in Suffolk, surrounded by open countryside.

The 3/4 acre site offers grass pitches with views across the village and adjacent Primrose Wood. Each pitch has its own dedicated water supply, electric hook up and bins/recycling boxes, along with free WiFi. There is a central grey water and chemical disposal point. We are a child and dog friendly site but ask that dogs are kept on leads. Direct access is available to Primrose Wood, where dogs and their owners can enjoy off lead adventures.

Boxford is a beautiful medieval village and a short five minute walk away. Here you will find two shops, a butchers, coffee shop and pub. There are many circular walks which can be enjoyed direct from the site and by bike you can explore the rural network of quiet lanes with villages scattered throughout, offering an excellent selection of pubs and tea and cake stops.

The area surrounding Boxford offers many places of interest such as the medieval village of Lavenham, historic village of Long Melford, AONB Dedham Vale (Constable Country), Sudbury (the home of Gainsborough), the Roman city of Colchester and Ipswich to name a few. Further afield, you can visit Snape Maltings, Sutton Hoo, Beth Chatto Gardens and many more.

If you like the coast, Woodbridge, Felixstowe and Frinton-on-Sea are approximately 45 minutes away and Aldeburgh, with its award-winning fish and chips, is approximately 60 minutes.

More places of interest can be found in our information hut, together with copies of laminated walks and an information folder for you to borrow. When available, freshly laid eggs will be on sale.

We look forward to welcoming you, advance booking highly recommended.

A top-quality site with security, gravel entrance, a very large grass area, good wi-fi and an EHU, tap and bins on each pitch. A small hut includes folders with a multitude of local walks and other useful information. The many footpaths are generally well maintained and signed and a pleasure to walk. The site is a very short walk from the centre of Boxford which is an interesting and attractive village with several small shops, a very good café and pub. The nearest town, Hadleigh, is a 2-hour cross-country walk away and has a Morrisons whose carpark will take motorhomes. Quiet country roads and gentle hills offer good cycling. Melford Hall (NT) and Lavenham are within reach. The site is overlooked from a distance by the owner’s handsome new bungalow which will be screened in time as the hedging matures. There is a tiny bit of daytime traffic noise from the A1071 but it does not detract from the site’s peaceful rural location.

Excellent site. Friendly and helpful osners. Water at pitch especially welcome. Easy access from A14 at Bury St Edmunds. Bus 5 mins walk away in village, to Ipswich and Sudbury and on to other places. Many very interesting towns and villages to explore. Will be back to see more.

We had been looking forward to coming to this site as it was close to home and a good price On arrival the owners had gone out and when they came back did not come to see us. Lucky the couple next to us were family who told us everything. The pitch we were allocated was on a bank and it took 3 attempts to get our caravan anywhere near level. The water and bins close to each pitch were a good idea. We took our dogs to the dog walk from the corner of the field, there’s no signage once you leave the field so we had to make our way through brambles/stinging nettles to a well cut path in Primrose Wood. We tried to walk around the wood but it was very boggy so we had to cut back along the steep bank back to the cl. Unfortunately the next day we had some heavy showers and the field turned into a bog. Even the people on the other flatter side of the cl said it was also were boggy there. This has sadly put us off going back. The owner Sue did come over as we were leaving, a day early, I explained due to the boggy, muddy field we had decided to go to early to clean everything up. The village of Boxford is very charming with some lovely old houses.

We were so lucky to find this wonderful new site for a long weekend with family, including 10 week old baby! Superb facilities and a marvellously tranquil setting with lovely walks from the site. Truly a site designed for caravanners by caravanners! We were given a warm welcome by Sue and information about the site and area. We didn't stray far but just enjoyed the surroundings and the great pub in beautiful Boxford village but the site is excellently situated for exploring Suffolk. Looking forward to our next visit at the end of July.

That's what Kiboko means, Nick told me. This is why I joined CAMC. CL sites are just the best. (Although just opened) Especially this one. A lot of effort has gone into make this site one of the best. When it matures it will complement nature even more. Well situated to explore Suffolk cycling or otherwise. Its a secure site with electric locking gates. Worth while making it your base.
