Could be better with a little work.

July for a week An easy place to find, the site is well marked out with five hard standings a water tap at each pitch. We were greeted by the owner who told us were the nearest places to eat and shop. But as I have said many times no notice board in case you have an emergency. I asked about the dog fly ball which is held in one of the fields near the cl field and over 160 dog's take part, if you do not like to hear dogs barking, phone before you book, we missed it as it is normally at the beginning of June. We were also warned by one of the other caravan members that when they hold weekend rallies the cl field is used and sometimes there can be 15 vans instead of 5, we found out it was happening the week after we left. Glad we missed it. Phone before you go. A good site for a one night stop, just off the M6 and M1.

I went to this site today just to have a look because I don't live far from here and it would be great for a quick weekend away. The site it's self was what you would expect for a working farm, on the whole it was tidy, there was only one van. I was told that they produce their own Beef, Pork and free range eggs and it did look nice they did the range of meat that you would expect in a supermarket. They do host in July a dog fly ball event on a large field and I was told they have about 160 dogs attending, so if you want to avoid the event call Steve to ask about the dates. the CL has EHU and water on each pitch the grass was kept trimmed

Could be great...

A well positioned CL with easy access from motorways and to local towns and cities. Well laid our and it's great having water and 240V on each pitch, but.... 2 out of the 5 pitches had vans permanently stored on them. One wasn't visited all the while we were there and the other someone turned up at 11pm and had gone before crack of dawn next day, but that was just once. The two looked like they had been there for months. One of the other pitches was occupied by a family of 4 adults in a giant hobby van with a giant awning with a wooden floor laid in the awning complete with fridge and washing machine, dog and cat! They did park their large white van in the farm away from the CL, but they seem to be out working most of the time. That left only 2 pitches for holidaymakers. This was a real disappointment as it would have otherwise been a nice CL. Local brewery is excellent with a fantastic menu and staff - well worth a visit.

Muswell Leys Farm

We found this a very good, quiet site with our own water supply and 16 amp electricity. All the pitches were hardstanding and well spaced. The owner welcomed us and asked if we required any sausages or meat which came from the farm. Very well located for M1 and M6. Will definitely visit again.
