one night stay with caravan - lovely site

I wanted to write this review because i think this site deserves it. We stayed for 1 night with our caravan. Yes it is a field with no electric - as it says in the write up, so you know what to expect before you get there, but it is a well kept site, clean and tidy, the owner met us upon arrival and was very helpful, it is easily accessible and is near to local amenities, it has lovely views and is very peaceful. There is a lovely pub within very close walking distance and Indian take away. The price was as stated. Lovely stay and we look forward to returning again.

Don't bother

This site is, without doubt, extremely handy for buses to the NEC, Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull. The field is potentially very attractive, although it gets VERY wet and there isn't really any alternative for motorhomes. However, it's a bit of a dump. Don't take any notice of what the book says about services as they are pretty horrible and very difficult to access. The welcome is non existent. You are charged in excess of the book price, even when the book is current.

Motorhome 1 night May 2013

I stayed 1 night with my motorhome as I was visiting the National Motorcycle Museum which is close to the site. Very large area of well kept grass and a small area with some gravel embedded to act as a hard standing. I didn't need the use of any service point but there were none visible from where I was parked. The unfenced pond would be a safety hazard for any child not constantly supervised but the field is so large an area well away from the pond could be used. Bonus for the site is close proximity to the motorway system.

travelling to crufts

on arrival not really a welcome just a young man who took the money ...and no information as to where and facilities were and didnt see anything looking like a shower block or hot and cold running water ..didnt see emptying facilities and non were pointed out .our motor home only just fitted through the narrow entrance land wet so had to park our motor home just inside the site ... around the field edge was quite a bit of junk .. old chairs and even a beer barrel ... because there is no hook up and the noise of generators could get annoying if site was full ... and the unfenced pond would be a worry for people with young children .

Visit to Coventry

Stay of 2 nights 4 and 5 July 2012 with the aim of visiting Coventry Cathedral. Public transport to the centre of Coventry every 30 minutes with a stop approx 100m from the site. Pub with an excellent Thai Restaurant within 200m. Due to the weather the site was extremely wet therefore limited parking apart from a busy car park. Chemical toilet empting facility extremely basic with no obvious water point for rinsing. No easy access to the drinking water point to fill motor home tanks without a 20m hose. One final negative point, owners dog let roam site and defecating at will and with no attempt to cleaned up. We are likely to return if on route only to visit the resturant
