Misery and Arrogance

Fjord Inn
Visited this site last weekend, found the owner full of arrogance and don’t like being ‘spied upon’ the owner will understand what I mean. We were questioned about erecting awning, told how we should tie the handles of rubbish bags etc before we got through gates of site. Booked and paid for four nights, stayed two! Having caravanned for well over twenty years we are well aware of how to deal with the rubbish! Site full of pine needles from trees and the caravan and jeep full of them. No privacy between site and public road. Torrential rain made it difficult with the rain running onto site like a river from road. No towns or shops within miles of site, once bitten twice shy. Never will be back to be treated in this manner. During two days neither saw or spoke with owner!

Great CL and good for visiting the Moray coast

Fjord Inn

Very well maintained and clean with good attention to detail. Norman the owner has gone to great lengths to make sure the pitches are level and the grass is immaculate. There is a LOT of grass, enough for a full size site. But as a CL it just helps the place to feel good, spacious and private. Norman is very approachable and knows his local area very well.

If there is any criticism, it is that it does not have any toilet facilities. It does have chemical disposal point. As a lot of CLs do not have toilets, I cannot mark it down.

Great for dogs as the large grass area is huge and allows for doggy frisbee and ball games. The site is totally secure for them as it is surrounded in a fence and very large trees. One of the best CLs I have been on anywhere in UK.

Superb CL in lovely countryside.

Fjord Inn
Stayed here for a couple of days in our motorhome in late July and would loved to have managed a bit longer. Immaculate site and very peaceful. Very welcoming and informative site owner who has everything organised perfectly given the pandemic we have just now. Very peaceful and quiet and all pitches are hard standing with all facilities nearby. Certainly would return here when in the area. A gem of a CL to visit.

A wee treasure

Fjord Inn
We received a very warm welcome from Norman and Evelyn the site hosts. The site was very tidy and adhered strictly to covid-19 regulations. Plenty space between units with a large grassy outlook, surrounded by trees. Very quiet and peaceful with short drives/cycles to places of interest. We hope to visit again soon,

Countryside Peace

Fjord Inn
Access to the CL from the main road was easy. We were greeted by our friendly host Norman who showed us around his well kept CL. The grass is well mown and the hard standing pitches are huge with plenty of open space. The site is well sheltered as it is surrounded by fir trees. The Inn is no longer open for meals but the bar is open for a few hours at the weekend. The village is really quiet and peaceful and is in an area of acres of fields of cereal crops and potatoes. There are numerous castles in the area to explore, a National Trust members heaven! The east coast is within easy reach, where there are some stunning old fishing villages to explore. Much less touristy than the west coast but equally beautiful in a different way.
