Just what we look for in a CL

Stayed for 3 nights with our touring caravan in May 2019. Super little CL tucked away in a marvellous location. Basic facilities only but that is all that is expected. For those who don’t like to be away from internet or mobile reception for 3 days, there is good reception from the harbour wall - just as well as we needed to call Mayday to sort out a flat tyre.

ABSOLUTE PEACE AND QUIET (no signals from anything)

We stayed here three nights, and found this little CL to be very peaceful and tranquil. Loved the views, you will NOT get TV/Radio/internet/mobile phone SIGNALS so this for us was marvellous!! If you are arriving in a motorhome go to the house first - to pay, otherwise you will face a very steep hill to navigate!! Ramps essential as most pitches slope one way or another. Loved the entertainment - we watched a scuba diving school for most of our stay, and it was quite interesting. This is really quite a busy little harbour/cove. Two local crail boats in and about collecting shellfish daily.....this is a bay KNOWN for its shellfish - so please do not tip waste of any kind as it will seep to the sea and spoil the habitat (thanks) There is chemical waste and fresh water - the tap is before you enter the little field and is located on the left hand-side well before the harbour We definitely recommend this gorgeous little unspoilt piece of Scotland. Just wonderful

We booked on the day as touring round the coast by motor home. This site is just soooo lovely if you want to escape and have peace and quiet. It is a private small field with stunning view out across a sheltered bay, nice walks in the immediate vicinity round the bay etc. Read other reviews......... Someone also has a very interesting display of art in a tumble down cottage alongside the site. Wish we stayed longer.

Great Site/Beautiful Location

We were on two weeks holiday in the NW corner of Scotland and had seen this site online before setting off. Rang up to check availability earlier in the day as we don't like to make solid plans as not sure what area we would be in and when. This wasn't a problem. As we arrived couldn't believe how tranquil and picturesque it was. We went to pay and Mr & Mrs Macfadyen were very nice. This is a basic site which is what we like best. Beautiful sunsets and good rock pooling beach. We will definatley be back. The Chippendales.

Lovely spot for our CC intro...

We were working late in the north, travelling with our two dogs, & needed an overnight camper spot in the area...found this one online & joined the Caravan Club so that we could use it, so, being fairly new campervan-ers, this was our first CC CL camper experience.  The owner was very helpful & allowed us to check-in without further contact following my late booking on the phone - I popped up to the house to pay the next morning.  We were familiar with the location, having worked in the area in the past, so knew that the site was in a lovely spot, with a small beach and views to sea and a wee harbour.  There were three campers parked on the harbour roadside, just beside the camping field, when we arrived, but we were really pleased to be able to pull into this site and had it all to ourselves. Sunrise was lovely, as were the twilight views out to sea, but morning brought the rain, which was a shame - we would have liked to take advantage of the walks in the area and snap some views, but headed out of the rain back to Inverness.  This basic site fit the bill perfectly - we recommend it and would definitely go back again for peace and lovely views in this ‘away-from-it-all’ location on the fabulous north Scottish coast.
