A lovely place to rest

This has to be one of the best cl sites we have ever visited. Bill and Ada are two of the loveliest people we have ever met. Bill met us in the yard and showed us where everything was. He was most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. This is a working farm and we did worry about the geese, ducks, chickens pony and horse in the next field because of our dogs but we didn't have to worry. The field was secure in all aspects and our dogs could not get near to the livestock. We had a very large field all to ourselves and no problems with gaining sun access for the solar panels. There was very little noise from the livestock so it was really restful. It was extremely easy to get to the site and farm. Mobile signal was good. Access to other areas for sight seeing is also good so makes a good base for touring.

Peace and Quiet

Situated at the end of a single track lane, which is easy accessible. We discovered a great spot in a quiet field at the back of a farm with horses for our neighbours. A warm welcome from Mr Graham who will be remembered for his infectious laugh. Surrounded on 3 sides by hedges which offers shelter. It is a good site to base yourself to visit surrounding area. We will return. Thank you.

Nice one...

The site is relatively easy to access down a long narrow lane. With all grass pitches could be a bit difficult in inclement weather. It would be shame to ruin the grass. Quite isolated but great cycling area. A basic CL (facilities a short walk) with EHU. Very informal, comfortable and has everything we need  especially welcoming by the very pleasant and hospitable owners. Thank you and we would return.

Very nice!

Just back from a very nice weekend here.  Site massive for five vans, nice views but some shelter too thanks to hedges. Little bit of a trek from site to water and waste disposal but nothing too serious. Would cheerfully go back, just remember that there are no hardstandings if the weather is really grim.

Peaceful, safe and relaxing

Just back from a lovely peaceful and relaxing weekend. Very friendly welcome. Huge field that a commercial site would put 15 units on. Fenced and hedged on 3 sides which gives good shelter if its windy. Field next to site has horses, chickens, geese etc. lovley mown grass, with fresh water and chemical toliet facilities in farm yard. Very warm welcome from couple who own the site, and very understanding when we where held up on the friday as partner had broke down on way home from work, so our arraival was delayed. Site is at the end of a dead end road so there is no traffic, only sounds you hear are from the farm animals which is lovely. Views are rolling fields, other farms etc. Great old railway walk within 5 mins walk of the site. Ideally placed for Eyemouth, Bambourgh, Holy Isle etc. Village from site is under a mile away and has a local shop and a coffee house/restaurant. If you are looking for a really quiet site that has easy access to the A1 etc and has plenty room for 5 units i would recomend this one. At £5 a night it was a bargin. Have came home feeling that we have had a lovely break. Will be going back in a couple of weeks for the weekend as only a hour from home.
