One to be avoided.

Right from trying to book this CL to leaving has been a problem. Despite many emails to the site we got no response from them. The club had to get in touch with the site to prompt them to reply to our booking. Even then, we sent a cheque for the deposit but it wasn't cashed for weeks so had to chase them on this too. On arrival, there was no one to meet us which was fine if it was obvious where to go, which it wasn't!. Access to the site is by a tight bend, with a high wall on one side and large tree trunk on the other, under very low trees. Not recommended if outfit is tall and/or long. The motor home which arrived after us had got a large part of one of the trees actually stuck on it's roof. Needless to say we aren't happy at the scratches we picked up by the low hanging trees. Some of the electric points weren't working which caused issues as the 2 outfits already pitched up had used other pitches hookup points. Couldn't find the toilet, or the waste and no TV signal. At no point did anyone from the site come to ask if we were okay. Needless to say, we only stopped the one night instead of 2 which we booked. The power station and visitor centre is closed now even though all signs are still up indicating it's open. To cap it all off, found that it's £12 per night, we were told to send £25 deposit for 2 nights! It's only a £1, but adds insult to injury. This CL badly needs some maintenance and we will not return to this CL and would advise fellow members to avoid at all costs.

Unspoilt gem

If you are looking for peace and tranquillity in stunning countryside, look no further. There's no WiFi and very weak mobile signal, so forget Facebook and instead walk the Anglesey coast path, which passes close to the site. You can walk to Amlwch in one direction and Llanfaethlu in the other; both are quite achievable in a day, and it's about a mile's walk to a regular bus service to/from both at Tregele (but sadly the pub there has been closed for years). There's a decent pub in Cemaes Bay, and an excellent cafe at Church Bay, for pit stops. As others have said, the grass pitches are reasonably level, and there are the usual facilities including electric hook-up - although we didn't find the toilet either! Further afield, the Black Lion just outside Llanfaethlu does good food and beer (closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtime). The Wylfa power station and visitor centre are within easy walking distance, and you can buy local honey at the farm across the lane. There's also a very nice beach nearby.

Lovely stay.

Directions are good - when you get to the farmhouse take the track just to the right of the house, go around the back of the house and you'll see the field. Well looked after, water and electric, pitches pretty flat. Very quiet location. A short walk to the beach and around the coastal path. My only problem was I never found the wc (fortunately we had our own), nor did I see the owners to ask. ONly stayed one night though. Only thing that could be improved is signage to the field from the lane, and to the WCs. All in all, lovely and we had a great time.

Garden setting

Lovely garden setting in peaceful location within walking distance of the coast.  Access to site not obvious and quite tight between wall and tree.  Toilet and chemical waste not signed and again not obvious. Not that these detracted from the CL. Recommended.

Peacefull

Arrived on a very windy day, but the next day was sunny, the site does get the wind, the toilet needs a bit of plaster and a paint job. But the site is kept clean and tidy, Mrs Davies and her family are really pleasant, your mobile signal is hit and miss as well as TV signal, went in to the little towns around and the coves, it is a really peaceful site and you have a base to return too
