Lovely CL

Our first visit to a CL - forgot they existed! It is only an hour away for us and at £17 per night for my wife and I thought it could be a good last trip for this year. It is owned and run by the pub / restaurant it sits behind. All hard standing (concrete slab) with gravel access and 16 Amp EHU so nice what ever the weather. The actual pub is very good with above average food, drinks and interior decor. A special mention must go to the staff. Always pleasant and happy to help. We did try the afternoon tea - fantastic but forget the diet! We both loved the quiet and the convenience of a good restaurant a 30 yd stroll away. A very lazy 3 nights - fab. We will return next year for another escape.

Overpriced!

We spent 2 nights here recently so that we could use the cycle trail that is adjacent to the site.   The site has 5 gravel pitches and is therefore easy for pitching.  Overall for a CL £20 a night is overpriced for a pitch with electric.  There are no showers or toilet and we found no local information or maps available either.

Longshots trip

We have just spent 3 midweek nights at this great location.   Concrete hard standings and screen fencing between pitches. Peaceful with lovely views.  Made so welcome.  So relaxing. Enjoyed lunch menu and a superb evening menu. Food and embience incredible. Site is a few yards away from a sustrans route running from Llanelli to Crosshands. No cars to worry about and ideal for cycling. Wales coastal path just 5 miles away.   We shall definitely return soon.

Excellent C L worth a visit!

Stayed here for 4 nights, Cl is right behind pub, The Waunwylt, staff were excellent, very accommodating and extremely friendly. The food is also excellent, definitely recommend it, we had one of the nicest rib eye steaks ever eaten! Lunchtime fish and chips also very tasty, good quality. Great for cycling as right next to Swiss valley cycle path, leading onto millennium coastal cycle path, stunning views! Although down hill all the way to Llanelli bit of a uphill ride on way back, gentle sloping quite deiceving, being a novice cyclist I managed to complete it!. Room on newly laid hard standings for 5 outfits, very clean, tidy and we'll keep pitches, lovely setting, we shall return.

You get what you read on the packet...and more. ????

Pleasant surprise, as read in the information but... not always believed !!! However every word as described with the exception of dog friendly only referring to the cl and not the pub. Food, beer, wine and atmosphere exceptional friendly knowledgable staff a bonus. Owners quick to put right electricity issue a plus. Love to revisit at some time. Wish you well Jackie and Steven Taylor x
