Why stay here ...

Bryn Glas CL is a secluded tranquil site in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd countryside, commanding lovely views and outstanding sunsets - a lovely place to relax amongst the herbaceous borders and floral displays. Electric hookups and level hard standings on a slightly sloping well-drained grass area make this site ideal for year round usage.

It is also an ideal base from which to explore North Wales: the area is uniquely placed to cater to all kinds of tastes; from people who love the outdoors, people who enjoy visiting attractions to those who just want to get away from it all and relax.

Llyn Brenig is only a few miles away. Even if you're not into fishing, it's still a fantastic day out, with a visitor's centre, and walks to suit everybody, including an archaeological trail and some beautiful scenery. Slightly further afield you can find Snowdonia National Park with its famous mountain railway and breathtaking views, the Clwydian Range with Offa's Dyke which goes through Moel Famau and the Jubilee Tower, and Loggerheads country park, as well as too many outdoor pursuits centres to list.

Three World Heritage sites - Caernarfon Castle, Conwy Castle and Pontyscylte Aqueduct - are within easy reach, as well as the National Trust properties of Erdigg Hall, Bodnant Gardens and Plas Newydd. North Wales is especially well known for its castles which as well as Caernarfon and Conwy include Denbigh, Rhuddlan, Beaumaris, Harlech, Criccieth, Dolwydellan. The area also boasts a number of historic houses, railways, museums, zoos, churches and chapels as well as the Cathedral at the newly-made City of St Asaph.

North Wales is also ideal for those who just go away to relax. The site itself is picturesque and visitors often enjoy going for walks or looking at the animals. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants which offer selections to suit all tastes. If you enjoy shopping, then the local market towns of Denbigh and Ruthin have a number of independent shops including chocolatiers, delicatessens, farm shops and gift shops. Ruthin is also home to an award winning Craft Centre and a town square acclaimed as one of the finest urban spaces in the country. The Tweedmill shopping outlet and beautiful coastal resort of Llandudno are also both within driving range.

Pets are welcome, but we do ask that dogs be kept on a leash whilst on site, we have country lanes on all sides of Bryn Glas with wide grass verges, ideal for exercising pets, as well as a dog exercise area on site. Whatever the purpose of your visit you can be assured of a very warm welcome!

Beautiful site!

Amazing views and beautifully kept site. Mervyn was really friendly and helpful and his garden was beautiful, still full of colour at the beginning of September. Great place to come if you simply want to chill.

Nothing To Much Trouble

OK it can be a little bit hard to find but to be fair its because its in such a lovely setting and well worth the effort. Mervyn the owner, is so kind to make sure your happy with the site which how could you not be. Its what I call a 'garden site' rather than a field but that doesn't take anything away from the site. If your unsure of the area ask Mervyn for tips of where to try as he recommended some unknown ones to us.

lovely welcome lovely site

Stayed for a few days at the end of July 2016. Warm friendly greeting from the owners to a beautiful site, well kept, great dog walk, fantastic views, amazing sunsets and fabulous walks in the welsh hills.  One of the best we have stayed in and one to return to. Quiet and peaceful. Our dogs loved the large dog walk field, full of interesting smells and big enough to play ball. The nearby lake is well worth a visit, serving a good meal with a view.

Handed a box of free range eggs on arrival, which were delicious. Flower boxes and borders are amazing, the owners friendly but not intrusive. Mervyn is great to talk to. Both he and his wife obviously love the place and keep good care of it. Had a wonderful stay.

IGNORE SAT NAV - follow directions given here.

A Little Piece of Heaven!

This CL is in an absolutely beautiful location overlooking a valley in the Clwydian hills. Mervyn and Beryl who run the site are lovely friendly people and provided us with a box of eggs from their own hens, and lots of helpful info about the area, and also their lovely pets-9 Manx cats and 2 Corgis! They keep the site spotlessly clean and the water/chemical toilet facilities are the best we have ever seen! The site is surrounded with beautiful herbaceous flower and shrub borders, all planted by Mervyn who was a horticultural expert in the Isle of Man, and looked after lovingly by him and Beryl. Denbigh was quite easy to visit once you knew the road to travel on, which is the one that runs from opposite Saron chapel and brings you out by Denbigh Leisure Centre. You need to stay on the road all the way and ignore what the satnav says! Llyn Brenig is also just a few miles away with a great Visitor Centre and cafe, kid's playground and lovely walks over the dam and around the lake. It is also a good base for travelling deeper into Wales, for example the Snowdonia area which is only half an hour's drive at most. All in all a fabulous stay and will definitely be back!
