Wonderful

Ivy Cottage Farm
This is a gem of a site run by two ladies who could not have been more helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Great site, don't be put off by no picture.

Ivy Cottage Farm
This is an old fashioned site with old fashioned values. Arriving on site, the views hit you, brilliant. We went at the top end of the site to maximise this, which means you are next to the road. I read many reviews about road noise, yes it was there, it died off at night and we weren't impacted by it. It would be better at the bottom end of the site, The grass was manicured on a regular basis, and everything laid out nicely. For us it was a walk to a clean well maintained toilet near the house, but again no problem. The site is on a slope and there are alpaca's in the next field, they were incredibly nosey and great to see. The owners are not wi-fi users, so you may have to send a letter to confirm your place, It takes me back, but this is little effort for what you get in return. This site is excellent, the owners very pleasant, try the iste without the pictures. The beach is close, and is a large attractive one with very few people on especially in the evening. . Getting to it is easy enough, coming back up the sand dunes will work off some calories though.

A Gem of. Site

Ivy Cottage Farm
We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Ivy Cottage Farm, and I have to say this has taken the top spot for our favourite site. Based in Nicholaston, it is a small site with so much space - there were only 3 other caravans and motorhome in the field, with a sea view over Oxwich Bay, and to another side there were resident Llamas who liked to say hello. The site has a toilet block, but no showers, which didn’t bother us as we had our own facilities. The owners gave us such a warm welcome and advised us on the best walks. The local beach Oxwich is down a sandy track through a leafy wooded area and takes about 7 minutes ( it’s uphill on the way back so take a bit of effort), but so worth it for the amazing bay. You can also walk along the beach to Three Cliffs Bay at low tide, and wonderful country walks with wild ponies/sheep and cows. We will definitely be back.

Delightful Area!

Ivy Cottage Farm
A large, well maintained site with ample space for 5 units. It has magnificent views across the Bristol Channel. Easy access down to the beach but the return journey needs a bit stamina. The site is run by a family team of two sisters and a brother who are in Ivy Cottage and the site during working hours but live elsewhere. A very friendly team who are very helpful about all matters concerning the site and the local area. The directions given in the Directory are not for the faint hearted! The last 5 miles is a narrow road with many bends and with sections where two cars cannot pass each other. The better route is to leave M4 at J47 then via Gowerton, Llanrhidian and Reynoldston. Approacing from the West look for the 30 mph sign on entering Nicholaston; gate immediately on the right. Easily missed! The site slopes and levelers are needed. We arrived after several days rain and could only get into position with the help of a fellow camper's 4x4. Those leaving had to be towed to the gate by tractor, which was readily available on site.
