Lovely!

Well, hello, this was our very first stay on a CL as new members and we were very happy! Large, gently sloping pitch, looking out to sea, with an old HillFort/earthwork to the left of the sea view and moors rolling off behind the treeline behind you. Views over the coast out to sea from the top of the field were fine. Very friendly site hosts, invited us briefly in to introduce ourselves and then left us to our own devices on thier well manicured grass pitches. One sunny and windy day, followed by 2 rainy days, watching the sea appear and dissapear in the mist, a few miles out. Good facilities, easily accessible water and toilet emptying all next to each other which meant we could empty and prep the caravan for the next trip easily on the way out. We have no idea about access to local places of interest, but it was an easy 40 min drive from where we live with good access and, we were quite happy to just sit in a field for a few days there!

Great site for off grid

I forgot to review after our weeks stay in Sept 2015. We had a terrific week and thoroughly relaxed. Lovely views toward Pembrey and so easy to visit any other part of the Gower from site. Excellent facilities, don't change a thing (please). Thank you Mrs D.

A short stay to be remembered.

I stayed here in a panic when I discovered that the site where I was due to meet up with my family did not allow dogs (I know. I should have done more research). The proprietor and her son were extremely kind to me, and the site is clean, well maintained and much more than you should expect for the £5 charged. I would definitely recommend it.

A stunning location

Stopped here for one night , we couldn't get the site wanted so took a chance on this one .. So glad we did. Views from the site are stunning and a walk up the moor ( 250 yards down road) provides even better views of all round the Gower. Excellent  dog walking  Good size plot with plenty of room , all facilities new and well planned. Only thing missing to make perfect is EHU ... however if you can go without well worth staying here and it's all for £5 per night.

Glad we stayed here...

We stayed at this site for our first visit to the Gower, on the recommendation of another CL which was fully booked, and were glad we did. Although this site doesn't have electricity, our motorhome is fine for a few days using the gas and solar panel to top up the battery. The field is sloping as described, but the top is fairly flat, sheltered and well mowed, so that is where everyone pitched, to get the wonderful views over the estuary towards Llanelli. The site is a short walk from Llanrhidian Cross, and it is easy to get a direct bus into Swansea or Port Einon, or with a bit more planning, to get connecting buses to Rhossili. There is also easy access to the coast path for walks to Weobley Castle for their amazingly good salt marsh lamb steaks. The garage mentioned in the directions to the site has a well stocked shop, including fruit and veg. The owners were friendly and the site has a new fresh water and waste area, which is well designed and easy to use, plus nice to see a range of re-cycling bins. We loved our stay here and would certainly recommend the site - for £5 a night what more could you want?
