Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite is a pleasant and green location, with grass and hard standing pitches for your comfort. The caravan park is surrounded by statuesque mature trees, adding privacy to your stay whilst enhancing the area's natural beauty. Nearby Henley is said to date from the early twelfth century. It has many old and interesting buildings for you and your family to discover, and is the home of the famous Regatta in June and July. This is followed a week later by a popular music festival and traditional boat rally, which involves the odd wooden-built craft for a touch of nostalgia.

The ornate stone bridge that spans across the River Thames is a popular landmark for visitors to Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite. It dates from 1786, though there is evidence of an earlier bridge dating from as early as 1170. The town is easily reached from the caravan park and there are many antique shops, art galleries and charming boutiques for you to browse. Another fun excursion would be to take a leisurely boat ride on the lovely Thames, travelling as far afield as Marlow or even Maidenhead. The site is well placed to visit some very interesting places including Windsor Castle, Hampton Court Palace and the city of London. Legoland, approximately 15 miles drive from the site, is a great fun day out for children.

Directions

Map showing campsite location

From the East take the M4 junction 8/9 onto the A404 and then take the A4130. Cross river bridge into Henley-on-Thames. At the third set of traffic lights (including pedestrian crossing) turn right into road signposted Marlow, Oxford. In 0.25 mile at mini roundabout fork right onto A4155 (signposted Marlow). The site is on the left in about 0.5 mile (500 yards past entrance to Swiss Farm Caravan Site). From the M40: leave at junction 4 onto A404. We recommend not using junction 5 or 6 of the M40, as routes include single-track lanes and steep hills. Turn onto the A4155 (signposted Marlow, Henley). The site is on the right about 7 miles past Marlow (0.5 miles past Toad Hall Garden Centre). Please note, those who do not know the town well are advised not to drive or tow through Reading.

Brilliant Bank Holiday Break

Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite
We stayed at Henley over the August bank holiday weekend. The site is small, beautifully kept and ideally located for visiting Henley. The pitches are well spaced out and level. The wardens met up with a smile and friendly welcome and gave us our choice of available pitches. The site was fully booked as expected for a bank holiday so we didn't have a huge choice. We ended up on Pitch 78 which was quite close to the road. We could hear the road but it didn't affect us and the noise was much less than we had expected from reading previous reviews. We will definitely come back again. Our only minor gripe was the drive over grey waste disposal. It really isn't the easiest for a motorhome and a driveover grid would be much easier to use. Only a minor complaint though and wouldn't stop us revisiting.

August 2024 Unexpected extended stay

Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite
With trees, lawned areas and pitches in small cul de sacs rather than regimented lines we found the site to be charming. The single facility block, it is not a large site, were to the usual club standard and maintained clean and tidy at all times by the warden team. The wardens on duty during our stay, Paul & Tracy were helpful positive kind and welcoming during our stay and really made a difference in helping our minor crisis not turn into a drama. Our tow car broke down toward the end of our stay, and the site was fully booked over the weekend after we should have left. Paul and Tracy once advised of our predicament immediately organised an "emergency pitch" to tide us over and helped us manually reposition the van during his lunch hour. Big thanks. In the end our 4 night stay ended up bring 9 nights and to be honest we had a great time, walking into Henley etc. Our intention is to return next year. Notes: TV reception poor but no problem if you connect to the bollard TV point. We used an EE sim card in our router and the 2g setting on our MiFi system to stream TV/ Tinterweb etc. (Reception on the Smarty Sim was poor and inadequate for streaming) Our hard standing was OK for steel awning pegs....didn't bend any unlike Knareborough! Only bins now at site entrance but expect this to be new club standard. Don't turn up early, there is no where to queue without blocking one of the main roads into Henley, not a popular move. No serviced pitches :-( but it's a small site and it's not too far to the nearest service point from any pitch.

Will definitely return here!

Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite
We booked into this site in order to attend. Rewind South festival. Location is close enough to walk into Henley (approx 15 mins) along a pavement. Very helpful and courteous welcome from Lisa with clear guidance on site facilities and amenities. Pitch was flat (we opted for hard standing with electric hook up) and easily accessible. Toilet block was spotless, showers hot and not subject to push button operation - shower on and stays on, perfect. Site is quiet, plenty of trees to offer shade and character. Will definitely return here.

Top notch

Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite
As veterans of over 40 years and 120+ different club sites this is one at the top of our list. The place is spotless, beautiful floral displays and neat pitches. The wardens are the best, friendly and hard working. There is some road noise but overnight is peaceful and if you are out and about what’s the problem? We will return.
