Located in cosy, attractive grounds, Camelford Club Campsite offers a fun holiday getaway for the whole family. The site puts you within easy reach of North Cornwall, which combines quiet, coastal villages like Port Isaac, Port Gaverne, Treknow and Port Quin. For those who like a bit of extra buzz, the larger seaside resorts of Padstow and Bude are not far away. The famous town of Tintagel is also nearby - here you can experience the rumoured birthplace of King Arthur and a sense of the real Camelot with its ancient medieval castle.
If you prefer to relax or take some time out then situated nearby are Bude, Newquay and Widemouth beaches and Landhydrock with lovely gardens perfect for doing so. The caravan site gives convenient access to an area rich in picturesque countryside villages, each with their own hospitable inn serving real ales and wholesome Cornish food.
For golf lovers, a championship golf course is conveniently placed adjacent to the caravan park, and offer members discounts on golf, food and drink.

Directions
From the North and East: Take the A39 through Camelford, continue past the supermarket on the left (road narrows to single lane). Turn right after the Valley Truckle sign onto the B3266, signposted Tintagel, Boscastle. In about 0.25 miles (just past garage) turn left off right bend. Site is on the left in about 90 metres. Note: do not turn into road in Camelford signposted Boscastle.
From the South West: Do not use Sat Nav. From Wadebridge, take the A39 north, signposted Bude. After approximately 9 miles, pass the junction of B3266 on the right from Bodmin, immediately before the BP petrol station. Take the next left B3266 to Tintagel/Boscastle. Pass Atlantic garage on the left. Turn at the next left on the right hand bend. Site is on the left in 75 metres.

Divided by pylons
Camelford Club Campsite
Whilst the site was convenient for our needs and kept spick and span by the staff, this really isn't up to scratch. It is only a small field, divided by a major National Grid electriciy route, complete with a full size pylon by the toilet block. Many of the pitches seemed unoccupied, just long grass skirting a caravan, blinds drawn, without human activity.
The toilet facilities are in keeping with the size of the campsite but are very tired, Artex coming adrift and fluorescent lights collecting insects galore. I see Bill the Bodger has been at work too - the end shower cubicle had four wall hooks for ones clothing but eighteen extra drill holes, mostly complete with Rawlplugs. Don't use the shower modified for the disabled unless you want to leave the door open. I'd be afraid to close it in case it would never open again!
We had clean water, electricity, waste disposal points, dustbins. What more could we want? Time to refurbish or move out I felt.

Lovely staff
Camelford Club Campsite
We are just home from 2 great weeks at Camelford.
It was very quiet, even being half term, with lovely, helpful staff. Dated facilities but wardens do a grand job of keeping them clean. The site is just off the A39 with an easy walk to a Londis store.
Bus 95 / 96 at site entrance to : Bude, Boscastle, Bodmin, Tintagel, Wadebridge, Newquay, Port Isaac, Rock, etc.
The weather was perfect ... and so was our 2 weeks, do hope Camelford can keep going for as long as possible, so lots more people can enjoy it!

Super staff
Camelford Club Campsite
This is a small site tucked out of the way on the outskirts of Camelford.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and we had a lovely grass pitch that was actually green, despite the drought.
There is really good access to a large area of Cornwall from here.
Site facilities were fine and never crowded. As it is a small site they are always close by!
There were some families with other children which meant some play opportunities for our lad.
The only slight negative was some traffic noise from a couple of goons riding noisy mopeds about at night, but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker.
We had a lovely, brief stay here.
What a shame it's closing.
Camelford Club Campsite
We stayed here for a week in at the end of July 2022. The wardens were all very helpful, even coming away from toilet block cleaning to help me with a washing machine issue. The facilities are more than adequate and the site is in a great location for seeing the sites of north Cornwall.
It's such a shame this site is closing as it is very quiet and peaceful and would probably appeal to families without children (there is no play ground).

Not stayed at the site before. Great welcome from the wardens and they were more than will to help. Very quite small site with 13 hard standings toilet block is old but spotlessly clean. WiFi was good on our pitch 25 opposite the bungalow. You dont notice the pylon in the site. Nice views from the site too. Great base for Cornwall as not to far down Cornwall. If you are a cyclist the camel trail is a must to Padstow. Great beaches polzeath, Rock, Trebarwith. With Boscastle, Tintagel and merlins cave and Port Isaac close by.
