Putts Corner Club Campsite is well located amidst idyllically quiet and pretty surroundings. In the spring a truly memorable display of bluebells, followed by foxgloves can be seen to add heightened charm to your holiday. As well as the glorious bounty of flowers on display, you will be able to experience a wide variety of bird life and even the occasional deer. There is a choice of scenic walks leading from the site into Gittisham, and from Beer you can take the lovely coastal path to Branscombe. If you would prefer a tranquil riverside walk, then Ottery St Mary is sure to delight.
The town of Sidmouth can be found conveniently close to Putts Corner Club Campsite. A restful resort with a long pebble beach and Donkey Sanctuary, its famous International Folklore Festival in August is not to be missed. The site also puts you within easy reach of Honiton, an attractive Georgian town with many antique and speciality shops selling everything from elegant lace to pottery. For those who enjoy a spot of shopping, the local market is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays and for the thirsty a traditional pub is a mere 180 metres away. In the nearby area, the colourful seaside town of Lyme Regis situated in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, is a renowned centre for fossil hunting. The city of Exeter offers great shopping and dining options, Cathedral gardens, and also the opportunity for lovely walks and bike rides alongside the canal.

Directions
Turn off the A30 Honiton Bypass (dual carriageway) from the east into road signposted Sidmouth A375 then turn Left, from the west signposted Honiton A375 (Turks Head Junction ). At mini roundabout turn Left follow sign for A375 (sp Sidmouth). In 320 metres at next mini roundabout turn right onto the A375 (sp Sidmouth). In about 2.5 miles turn right just before Hare and Hounds Inn into the road signposted Ottery St Mary. In about 0.25 mile turn right into site entrance. Late arrivals are asked to use the late arrivals parking. Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not sat nav, due to alternative routes being unsuitable for towing. Please avoid approaching from Ottery St Mary (which has a 1 in 5 gradient uphill) and on the A373 from junction 28 of the M5.

Lovely stay
Putts Corner Club Campsite
Very helpful staff. Good pitches with very clean modern facilities in a peaceful rural setting.
Will return but really poor that yet again no wi fi connection!!!!

Lovely site but……
Putts Corner Club Campsite
The issues start with the welcome. When we arrived the very first time at 12:45pm a few years back we were promptly told we were too early.
Trouble is when you drive several hundred miles it is awfully hard to get the perfect arrival time.
So this time we arrived at 1:30pm but still got a frosty reception.
Female site warden guarding the reception door told me to get back in my car. I still went into the reception as I’d arranged a blue badge disability spot near the toilet block.
Another female warden inside reception told me to go back to my car and was simply not interested in anything I had to say.
Not the best welcome to the site.
The site itself is a little ‘unkempt’ in places especially on the area by the Motorhome waste point.
The men’s toilet block had no hand wash from the moment we arrived on Friday until three days later and only after I mentioned it to the warden. Never saw a warden until this point.
Finally, a knock on the caravan door mid afternoon on a Sunday trying to flog raffle tickets was a little uncalled for. More so because you felt obliged to buy them.
Will we visit again? Yes, most likely but just have to remember not to arrive earlier than 1pm, stay in car for warden to come to us at arrival, take own soap, and no answer the van door when we are trying to have a snooze.

Fantastic Campsite
Putts Corner Club Campsite
We have just returned from a weekend at Putts Corner, we had such a wonderful time. The site wardens were wonderful, cheerful, helpful and nothing too much trouble. The campsite was clean and tidy and the washrooms were immaculate (with heated flooring throughout, perfect). A five minute walk to the Hare and Hounds pub, lovely food, but best to book, does get very busy. Opposite the pub is the bus stop to take you on a 20 minute ride to Sidmouth. Will definitely be returning to this campsite again soon.

Putts Corner Club Campsite
Our first visit to Putts Corner, lovely friendly staff and would definitely visit again.
Easy to find followed the directions recommended by site from Honiton.
We were very impressed with all the facilities, toilets and showers clean and warm.
The grounds were well kept considering the wet weather we have had.
We stayed on hardstanding pitch with Electric Hook up, the pitch was a good size.
Great location for exploring, had a carvery at The Hare and Hounds which is a 5 minute walk away.
Third Visit - Still Great
Putts Corner Club Campsite
This was our third visit to this lovely site. We treated ourselves to a serviced pitch, which was great. All of the site was as good as always - perhaps some of the previous comments don't take into account our unusual weather this year, which must make maintenance difficult. Our comments - perfect thanks!
We always enjoy our stay; the 9 bus is very useful, as is the footpath through the woods to the pub and bus stop. Dianne and Bernie gave us all that we needed, in a friendly way. My only complaint is that the hill back from Honiton seems to have got steeper than before, when cycling/walking back from the shops - or is it me?
