It is an easy walk into the quaint little village of Powburn.

The National Park Centre at Ingram is a short journey away from the River Breamish Club Campsite, which is open daily from Easter to September. Staff there will be more than happy to help you plan your stay, making sure you get the most out of this historic area. Ingram boasts a number of fine hillside walks - take a picnic along with you and enjoy the rolling green hills and countryside spread out before you. If you enjoy bird watching and nature, then be sure to visit the Branton Nature Reserve which has a bird hide and lake nearby and Farne Islands, off the Northumberland coast. Great peaceful site that lived up to expectations. Staff helpful and facilities excellent. Local area is full of interesting locations and site is near great pub (Plough Inn) at Powburn. Easy to get to best coastline in northern Britain.

Excellent Site, Lovely Wardens

River Breamish Club Campsite
This is a lovely peaceful site, about 30 mins inland from the beautiful Northumberland coast. If you want to explore the whole of the delights of Northumberland, then this is ideally located. The site is well kept, well run, very clean and tranquil. We stayed on a service pitch, which was spacious, level and reasonably private. However, it was about a 200 yard walk to the excellent main facilities block. There was a good and interesting dog walk on site too. We tried the Monday night fish and chips and they win our award for the best on site mobile catering food so far in 2024. Fresh, tasty, generous portions and sensibly priced. Given that we live near Whitby, this is high praise indeed. Finally a special mention to the lovely new wardens - Donna and Phil. Very welcoming and supremely helpful. We had water pump supply problems onsite with our caravan and Phil even swapped out his caravan water pump for ours to eliminate a possible cause, before putting us I touch with an excellent mobile caravan repairer, who travelled over an hour one evening to give us a temporary fix. Service over and above the call.... thank you both. We will return soon, hopefully with a properly functioning water pump system.

A lovely site with friendly wardens

River Breamish Club Campsite
We stayed here briefly (two days and one night) in order to test out our newly acquired campervan and we loved it. The wardens were extremely friendly and helpful at all times and the facilities and site were immaculate. We will definitely return soon. The surrounding area is quiet (which suits us) and there are plently of local walks (long and short) from the site. It is also ideally placed for exploring Northumberland's many attractions, or even the Scottish Borders for longer days out.

Beautiful quiet campsite, lots of facilities, and cheerful helpful wardens

River Breamish Club Campsite
We have stayed here several times including three this year already, with our most recent one being 17th August. All of our stays have been great. The facilities were very clean, and the site is always tidy. The pitches are well spaced out. Unless you are on a serviced pitch, you really do need to make sure of bringing a long [25 meters] hook up as one bollard is frequently shared between several outfits. There are good dog walk areas. The garage on the main road [.6 mile walk] stocks a small but adequate range including the papers, milk etc. We look forward to our next stay in a couple of weeks.

One of the best club sites

River Breamish Club Campsite
Our first time here and it did not disappoint. Firstly the wardens were outstanding and very worked hard to keep the site so well maintained. The site itself is well spaced out and I liked the balance of mowed and non mowed areas, and it also has a great nature walk to the lake. Also lots of little interesting features about. The pitches, SP and HS, are the widest I've seen on any club site, and the facilities block is an outstanding example of what one should be like and of course it was spotless. There is a large Londis supermarket/petrol station very nearby. Further out is the whole of the Northumbrian coast and you can find beaches where you can park your car (smaller MHs too, larger MHs have their own area) at the beach itself like Alnmouth and Boulmer, while there are the larger towns like Seahouses with sea trips. Holy Island is certainly worth a visit too - but check tide times. For relaxing it's a great quiet site too and it is very popular, and deservingly so.
