Why stay here ...

Updated 28 September 2021: We are pleased to advise that notice to vacate the site has now been extended by a further 5 months. We are now welcoming arrivals up to and including Wednesday 30 March 2022, departing no later than 12 noon, 31 March 2022.

The Club has been operating Baltic Wharf campsite for several years on a renewable, short term lease while the Council planned for redevelopment of the site into up to 190 new homes.

Baltic Wharf Club Site is a waterside haven, located right in the heart of Bristol's beautifully re-developed dockland and close to the city centre with its lively shops and entertainment. For families staying at the caravan site, great attractions include the Zoo and Downs Park: a cosy and safe place for young children to play and also an ideal picnic spot.

Many excellent cycle paths can be easily accessed from Baltic Wharf Club Site, including the Bristol to Bath path if you are feeling particularly energetic and adventurous. A selection of boat trips are available from the caravan park, which makes for an excellent way to take in some of the most scenic views in this part of the county.

Walking notes:

A great stroll directly from site would take you around the harbour passing the narrowboat marina, S.S.Great Britain and the M Shed Museum. Continue along into the restaurant area of Bristol with a return along the opposite side of the harbour through Underfall Boat Yard.

Check out our ViewRanger walk.

Supermarket notes:

The closest is Asda in Bedminster, about 1 mile from the site (MH access).

At traffic lights ASDA is on your right, continue straight-on staying in the left hand lane. Continue keeping left following signs for SS Great Britain and M Shed (first exit off roundabout) on to Commercial Road. Fantastic location!

Baltic Wharf Caravan Club Site
This is a site in a fantastic location on the floating harbour. The special thing about the site is that there is a little gate leading directly on to the harbour. At the moment however the lock on this gate is broken. Please Baltic Wharf - get the lock mended ASAP - it really will not cost much! A whip round on the site would probably raise enough! We will really miss this site when it goes as there is no where else within walking distance of the centre if Bristol. I hope the club will be able to find another site nearby. Thanks Baltic Wharf for another great stay, we will be back very soon!

Here again.

Baltic Wharf Caravan Club Site
Take advantage of extensions while you can.Noticed in good time to get 4 suitable nights while weather OK. Good choice of pitch which makes a change. Never seen so many outfits not pitched to pegs.space is tight here and correct pitching makes a lot of difference. Still no shower curtains so floors very wet. Work on road outside wasnt as bad as we expected. Handy buses from by the shop.nice drivers. Good to sit by great britain and watch the world go by with good tea and cake. Already rebooked for March just need July now !! (Heres hoping ).

Gem of a site right in Bristol

Baltic Wharf Caravan Club Site
Just had our first visit to this brilliant little site. Other reviews say it all . Will be a sorry loss when Bristol City Council end the lease so they can build on it. Only marked it down on peace and quiet because of the noisy roadworks currently going on.

A favourite location

Baltic Wharf Caravan Club Site
We really like this site because of its easy access to the wharf and to all the amenities to and in Bristol and have stayed here several times. It is particularly convenient for us as my husband is an amputee so being able to walk straight out onto the wharf is fantastic. However, we know that the sites days are numbered given it's owned by Bristol Council and is to be built on. We thought our stay this September would be our last - but as its been given yet another reprieve (Hallelujah) we were thrilled to be able to book for New Year again, as are our friends that also love this site. Of course what we all want is for a permanent reprieve (I know, in my dreams) The disabled facility was unavailable during our latest stay and are hoping if will be available for New Year.

GREAT LOCATION

Baltic Wharf Caravan Club Site
WHAT A WONDERFUL LOCATION WITH LOVELY VIEWS OF THE COLOURED HOUSES OPPOSITE THE SITE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WATER, WALKS AROUND THE WATERSIDE, BARS, RESTAURANTS AND A SHORT WALK TO THE SHOPPING CENTRE AND ALL THE CITY CENTRE SIGHTS. WE WILL MISS THE WATERSIDE LOCATION. AS FOR THE SITE ITSELF, IT IS VERY WELL RUN THANKS TO THE WARDENS, KAREN AND NICK WHO ARE SO FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS ON HAND TO HELP IN ANY WAY NEEDED. THIS SITE WILL BE A GREAT LOSS TO MANY PEOPLE.
