View on mapJust 3 miles away from the pleasant village of Bransgore, you can find one the UK’s best caravan sites in the New Forest National Park. The caravan site in question is the New Forest Club site which was originally part of a Second World War airfield. In fact, parts of the original runway still exist and there is also a memorial to the New Forest Airfields just to the north of the caravan park, making this a very attractive destination should you be interested in war history.
Set amidst beautiful rolling countryside, New Forest Club Site has an open aspect and is home to The Club's celebratory Centenary Gardens with lovely bird life including Song Thrushes and Bullfinches. There is also an excellent dog walk plus loads of fun play equipment and a safe play field for younger visitors. The Hampshire caravanning site is a great base from which to explore the charming local landscapes by either foot or bike, with cycle routes starting as nearby as 200 yards. Conveniently located for visits to the busy towns of Christchurch, Poole and Bournemouth, the caravan park is also as well situated for a wealth of beaches and resorts for the perfect summer holiday.
A mobile fish and chip van visits this site. Please ask the site staff for more details.

A late availability & forecast of reasonable weather made us decide to try out the New Forest & we were pleasantly surprised with this spacious site & friendly wardens. Facilities were clean with a 1-way system in place. The site is flat, however the surrounding area can be hilly & cycling trails through the forest can be tricky on the loose gravel in places. Lovely site split into several areas named after the aircraft that had been part of the WW2 effort & that were based at the 12 airfields in & around the surrounding areas. A memorial of which is close by. Ideal for walking, cycling & plenty of local attractions to consider. Would definitely be somewhere to return with our grandchildren. The New Forest Pizza Company visit the site & are highly recommended.
Edit: stayed early September
