So well kept and lovely atmosphere.

Exebridge Lakeside Club Campsite
Stayed at Exebridge Club site twice this year, on both hardstanding and grass pitches. Despite rain, the grass pitches remain well maintained. The site is beautiful and a credit to the wardens who are very pleasant and welcoming. Easy access to the site from the M5 and once sited, within easy reach of the national park and the lovely coastline. Lots to explore and do in the area coupled with the peace, tranquility and amazing views from the site. highly recommended.

A seasonal stay

Exebridge Lakeside Club Campsite
We have stayed at this site for the first time from March to October not only was it a lovely quiet site with beautiful views it was close enough to the coast to reach in 40 mins. And the Moors in 15 mins to give us plenty to occupy us for the season. This coupled with an exceptionally hard working site team consisting of Gale and Mark who kept the site spotless with a smile on their faces despite the weather made a really great summer experience would not hesitate to recommend this site for a quiet Holliday

Highly recommended site.

Exebridge Lakeside Club Campsite
Just back from 3 nights here in our camper van on our second visit to this site, Very quiet, lovely surrounding countryside and a superbly maintained site in every respect. Shower/toilet/laundry/washing-up block was immaculate. Showers are excellent and have the benefit of a seat inside each cubicle. Mark and Gail, the site managers, were efficient, very friendly and are a great credit to the Club. The Anchor Inn is probably less than a 10 minute walk away on a foot path leading directly from the site which goes past attractive fishing lakes. The pub's food was good, served quickly, but I would expect the place would be very busy indeed in peak season as it is very attractive, has a superb location right beside the river and a delightful beer garden at the back (for info, we paid £14-£15 each just for a basic main course like lasagne and salad). They serve breakfasts fro 9am too. Sunday hours for food service may change, apparently. Not sure how families with young children would rate this particular site - no games room, play area out of use (?). For that reason alone, I have scored the site a 3 in the relevant category, but that is entirely subjective. There were just the two of us, both aged 65++, so we were not looking for anything apart from peace and quiet and didn't need entertaining! Very nice dog-walking field on-site. Tip - the road to Dulverton passes one boundary of the site. It wasn't horribly busy when we stayed but pitches nearest to the road, on the highest level of the site (to the left as you drive past the amenities block), may suffer from some traffic noise. Overall, definitely one of the nicest, most attractive, quiet Club sites we've visited. We'll be back for sure. Our sincere thanks to Gail and Mark.

Clean and peaceful

Exebridge Lakeside Club Campsite
This latest visit (20-30) June was our 4th or 5th visit to the site because it is very close to West Anstey Riding Stables on the moor. It's a peaceful relaxing pretty site with nice sunsets. The local pub The Anchor Inn is a short walk away and serves excellent food. We were however disappointed this time as there was no shop in reception and we were told that there is too much red tape to run a shop which is a real shame because in the past we have relied on that. Also the playground was condemmed and with having a child under 5 this was also a disappointment. The toilet block is immaculate and the showers are hot . In fact the site was not full and the best pitches are now been taken by seasonal caravans. We will return to this site but it's not as good as it was.

Tranquil site

Exebridge Lakeside Club Campsite
Another excellent stay on the service pitches at one of the better CMHC sites. Lucky enough to pick up the WiFi Hot spot signal from our pitch and good TV signal without using the hook up on the bollard. Nice warm welcome from the wardens who worked hard to keep the facilities up to scratch. Some excellent views of the surrounding countryside and just a 5 minute walk to the pub via the fishing lakes. I agree with the previous review about the state of the local roads in the area, full of pot holes and hard to spot due to the shadows of the trees. The children's play area is still closed due to unsafe equipment. Duster castle and Knighthayes NT properties both worth a visit. Noticed a large number of seasonal hardstanding pitches and if it wasn't for a large group of New Companions members the site would have been half full. Probably a sign that the club seem to be going in the wrong direction with ever increasing prices, deposits , dynamic pricing and a booking system that is not user friendly and worse than the previous system.
