New pricing in handbook

We have been members for many years on and of since the 1970's and this is the first time I have had to write.

I don't like the new pricing in the 2019 handbook. We went to a site in Wales this June 2019

and it said in the handbook (I quote)  2019 prices from £8.90 per night for pitch and one adult.

However we paid over £23.00 for the night. That was for two adults. That means one second adult was £15.00. This was called a booking fee. The pricing is not clear. We looked

in the handbook and you now have to download the correct price guide.

Sorry CMC this is a bit misleading.

Please bring back the old way of pricing.

I've said it before, but in buying anything, holidays, cars, bookings... I have never got the from price ever.

Slightly OT and it might have been discussed before but I wasn't aware that the club could increase the price of bookings after the event. I booked a pitch in November  priced £23.70 but when we arrived just recently it was priced at £24.30. I didn't bother challenging it as we we paying with a voucher but it does seem a little like the old 70s practice of relabeling goods in shops

If you were paying with a voucher they perhaps didn't bother mentioning it. For bookings made before the price went up they apply a manual reduction on the new price. One site we stopped on forgot though, as did we, until after the event.

If you booked a site in november before the price increase was "announced",when you book in on site it is high lighted on the site daily arrival sheet and you will be charged the pre december increase

when we booked into our site over Easter we got the booking price and, perhaps even more surprisingly, we wanted to add an extra adult, our daughter, who wasn't on the original booking, and we got charged the pre-increase price not the newer higher price!

Steve's post highlights the (past?) problem with the CC pricing system.....

when the prices change (rise) the My Bookings page and the price on the till at arrival show the latest price NOT the price you booked at, so a fiddle has to be done at the till to give you the price you booked at....

however, with the advent of the rolling 12 mth booking system, prices for later bookings shouldn't rise (should they?) as the distant price has already been set, published and should be in logged your booking...

it may be that the 'glitch' will disappear as we have moved away from the annual 'cliff edge' rises to a rolling 'price is what you see at booking' type.

eg....a spring 2020 price is already on the price page at the 'increased 2020' price and this won't change before arrival ....will it?
