As this has been discussed many times and this post will be locked to stopped any comments.

Yes you can book a year in advance but this still stops people booking a a whole week (7 days) due to the weekend bookings. The problem is not going to go away until something is done about the weekend blocking. I suggest that the club takes a look at the amount of weekend bookings. I notice that there are discounts for midweek booking so this surely must show that CMC must be loosing out on revenue do to weekend blocking.

Personally I have no desire to see working folk prevented from booking weekends but apparently you do.

We all have an equal chance of booking. Everyone's holiday is important to them so why do you think your break is more important than someone else's, Hotfog?

The remedy is in your own hands - book earlier and get the dates you want.

You’re right in that the topic had been discussed many times but nothing has changed.

Lots of people book weekends months in advance, not knowing what the weather is going to be like, and still go away when the time comes what ever the weather is like, then there are people who watch the weather forecast and try and book for the following weekend and feel hard done to when they are unable to book  there first choice of sites. Which bracket do you come under.

Depends on where you want to go. Cirencester opens on the 1st March and apart from the Easter weekend, every full week is available for booking right through to when it closes in January 2020.

Weekend bookings are a vital income stream for all sites, you want to reduce this, then expect to pay more for your full week trips.

I know of a handful of commercial sites that dont take weekend bookings in the summer school holidays, which is an understandable stance to take, but to extend this out of peak would reduce income and possibly force closures.

The CAMC already capitalizes on the weekend trade, looking at my May booking,  by increasing the fees, never seen a receipt like it, more akin to a supermarket till printout.

Keep as is for me too along with the many others. As a young family wth school and work commitments we benefited from the flexibility offered from one night to twenty-one night bookings. The club is not just one touring holiday camp, it is a network of sites across the country.

More frequently today, now in retirement, on those longer trips and tours of a week or more we, like many of us, spend several consecutive nights on several club sites. Long may this touring way remain open to us club members.

The OP thinks the thread will be locked, if that’s the case why not write direct to the club with the issue.

We all have the opportunity to book club sites so why would the club change that.

During school term time we can only get away for long weekends and we’ve always been able to stay on mainly CLs.
