Superfuous service

Unless we are very lucky it is extremely doubtful that we will have used our van this year when we come to annual service time in October. Will have to check what is lost if we just mark time!

Superfluous?? I think that is what was meant!

Well not really, most vehicle manufacturer's servicing intervals stipulate 'x' mileage or 'x' months, whichever is the sooner. Even when not used components can deteriorate, sometimes even more so with inactivity.

My 2009 caravan has just been serviced at my home by the excellent mobile engineer I have used for many years.  Horrors, he discovered a little damp which he will reseal when the temp risesmoney-mouth.  Glad I didn't leave it for a further 12 months.
