Numax Batteries

Are Numax batteries any good?  Go Outdoors have an offer on at present, 105Ah (LV30MF) at £84.00 and 75 Ah (LV22MF) at £60.00. They claim the RRPs are £140.00 and £100.00 respectively so it appears to be a good saving.

I may need one in the next few months as my current battery is over 5 years old and at the price it may be worth getting one in advance of needing it.

Seems a good price, certainly for the larger one, just a quick looks shows others charging £95 / £100. Not sure they ever get £140 for them.

We had two Numax 110Ah, one that went from our first caravan to the second and went with the van when we switched to a MH. That was about 7 years old. The second which I still have, that was used for swapping over in storage to keep the alarm and tracker functioning, is 5 years old. That one was useful as a back up starter battery during lockdown. I was very pleased with the performance of both. It was reasonably involved getting the van out of its space with the power mover, often taking a fair time. The older one was still up to the task when we got rid of it.

My last leisure battery lasted 8 years before failing, so if yours is only coming up to 5 years i would hold on a while.

I have an 110ah Numax and fine it has been.Due to Covid hasn’t had the use off grid it normally gets.

But after ordering it ( couple of years ago now) it was marked up as a NCC rated C category meaning minimum use off grid.

Do not seem to see these ratings nowadays on leisure batteries.

But fine it has been.

Our last 2 Numax 110amp  lasted 8 years and were £100 each.

Ordered 2 new 105amp from Tanya batteries, £180 delivered to the door.

Ditto for me, even after 8 years battery was ok for doing the normal 12v stuff, but struggled to keep the mover happy, but the new movers stop working if the voltage drops below about 11.75 v, everything works ok with new Numax from Tanya delivered to the door.
