Caravan Shelters

Hi everyone,

I hope you don't mind me posting here, but I am conducting a bit of market research for the company I work for.

We are looking at developing a caravan shelter that can be used to store your caravan or motor home on your property in a safe and secure structure without the price tag of a storage facility. Our structures are durable and cost effective with a lot of our products withstanding the joys of British weather for ten years and a lot of the times even longer than that. If you would like to view the structures we have made so far to get an idea of the quality you could expect, please visit https://www.northernpolytunnels.co.uk/ or https://www.britcover.co.uk/

Of course before we venture into this new territory we would like to know if this is something people would be interested in, so if you have a spare few minutes, please could you answer as many of the following questions as possible:

1. Do you prefer to keep your caravan offsite or would you prefer to keep your caravan close by if possible?

2. How much would you be prepared to spend on a structure like this?

3. Are there any features in particular that would be an absolute necessity on a product like this?

4. What sizes would be ideal for your caravan?

I keep my van on the front of the house on a gravelled hardstanding, with a green proprietory cover over it.

I would love one of your covers as shown on the Britcover website, closed at one end and with a suitable access at the other, to allow vehicle and/or personnel access. It would make faffing & coddling with the van so much easier.......

It would need to be about 8m long & 4m high....

Unfortunately I don't think my neighbours would be very impressed, and would I in fact need planning permission....?

If I had a house on a big plot with room to have this down the side or round the back I would be very interested.....

The prices on your website configurator look fair enough if it is a sturdy structure, I was paying £700 a year for undercover storage at a Cassoa Gold site for a previous caravan....

I think most people use storage sites simply because they don’t have space to store their vans at home which makes use of a shelter rather academic.

PS. Reported so the CM can check if the OP is in breach of the T&Cs re advertising.

You really need to discuss  this with site admin before posting as it's very uncertain whether such a post is allowed under the T&C's of the forum. I will close this thread and make the Community Manager aware it.
