Club Rules

In truth the club should forget rules and let the members do what ever they want as they do anyway. I am I heavy user of sites and find that:-

Members speed around with no consideration to others.

Let their dogs roam without a lead.

If on a lead it is more than the length specified.

Let the dogs foul the site even if there is a dog walk. I see them sneaking around with their dogs waiting them to do their "business" no matter if it is a grass pitch that children will occupy next.

Let their children play ball etc near other members outfits and let them irritate others whilst getting a warm glow with beer and wine.

Children going around site at high speed on their bikes even the wrong way round.

Have raucous gathering late into the late evening/ early morning.

The Club should either suspend members breaking the Club rules or relax the rules

Moderator Comment - Moved as this is a moan rather than a story!

The only two which I've really never seen is:

Let their children play ball etc near other members outfits and let them irritate others whilst getting a warm glow with beer and wine.

Disgraceful letting children drink beer and winesmile

but seriously :

Have raucous gathering late into the late evening/ early morning

I have never seen or heard that.

Did you take these to a warden? Also suspend them after how many offences? And how are these offences to be recorded?

Seeing as the subject of rules is being discussed. I was surprised to see for the first time on a club site last week the arrival & departure times being relaxed a little ? Outfits coming on site before 10am and leaving as late as 6pm. Didn't seem to inconvenience anyone cool

Couldn't possibly comment although we always bring all the empty cans and bottles away with us as we are ashamed that other members might accuse us of enjoying ourselveswinksurprised

If the CMC is not bothered when site rules are broken,  they should be honest and scrap rules all together.  Then every customer will know exactly where they stand.  undecided

The rules are there for a different reason. The Club more or less turns a blind eye to any infringement as doing something would take up valuable warden time.

The real purpose in them being there is to cover the Club's back should any legal action result from a breach. For example, when one of the wrong-way speed cycling children is injured, the Club can say they had taken action by having a Rule that was then broken, and they are not liable.  Same with the dents in the side of you caravan. The Club denies liability.
