Hi,I have booked a trip to Rockies and thought I would use some leftover T/Cs from many years ago, “they never expire” supposedly. Mentioned my plan to travel agent and she seemed to think they are very difficult to use or even cash in by a bank in Canada. Wonder if anybody has any knowledge or experience with this problem,Thanks.

Where abouts are you heading for in the Rockies, Connie? There is another thread running somewhere on the forum about touring in a MH. I'll just repeat my recommendation that if you're staying in Banff which is a great location, don't miss out on the cable car ride up Sulphur Mountain and make sure you visit Melissa's Diner either for the huge breakfasts or the steaks! And if you head to Lake Louise try to divert down to Morraine Lake, a spectacularly turquoise body of water surrounded by high mountains. I posted a picture of it on the other thread.

You're bound to have a fantastic time. Enjoy it! smile

Thanks,will be visiting Banff and the usual tourist places on route to Vancouver then the Inside Passage cruise to Alaska. I’ve ditched the moho hire idea and gone for a package tour,pros and cons but sure it will be beautiful scenery. The other thread was mine as well looking for tips,there’s no cheap way of doing it I don’t think. I watched the Worlds most scenic railway journeys on channel 5 in Italy/Switzerland on Friday and personally think it can’t be beaten for scenery not even by the Rocky Moutaineer. Cheers.

Post Office appear to be quite happy to issue them;

I did phone my local post office but they no longer deal with them but you’re correct they are prominent on their website and for Canadian dollars.

After I wrote that I did wonder if yours was the other thread, Connie,  it seemed too much of a coincidence.

Sounds like the holiday you're going on is pretty much the same as we did.  Vancouver is amazing - it'll sound daft but we were told one of the "must do's" was to go down to English Bay Beach to eat fish & chips (yes, really!) and watch the sun go down - it was truly spectacular. I'll try to find my photos of it and post on here later.

My email address is in my profile - feel free to get in touch if you want any suggestions about that holiday. smile
