Sorry, no experience of sites in Copenhagen, but definitely worth a visit by whatever means you choose. I’m sure that Denmark has good transport links, so visits by public transport from sites further afield or even from nearby Malmo in Sweden are practical? Copenhagen is quite a compact place, so won’t take you an eternity to cover the highlights. I’ve always fancied doing a Scandinavian trip exploring Jutland and places like Aarhus - hopefully I’ll happen sometime.

Isn't there a campsite/s in the City or at least on the outskirts? https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/townlisting.asp?town=Copenhagen&county=Denmark

Have noticed that there are a number of Scandinavian experts on here so thought they might be able to help.
(A friend, whom I met in A/dam this week, did say that she and her family stayed on an aire there which was fine.. but the conversation, while having dinner in Café Americain, swiftly segued into ‘shall we order another bottle of wine’ and the subject was dropped… I must email her about it.)
