French CritAir Vignette

The current heat wave in France is leading to a number of cities to enforce restrictions on vehicles entering city centre zones to those carrying the CrtAir Vignetes in categories 1,2 and 3. This means you need to have a vignette and if you have a polluting vehicle ( old diesels  for instance, in categories 4 and 5), you can drive in to the city centre for the next few days.  I dont know the full extent of this but certainly Marseille and I think Paris are enforcing this, and probably other cities will follow suit.

Yes, noted this - apparently also Lyon and maybe others. Although I think you meant "can't" not "can".....

See the Green Zones App into which you can enter your own vehicle and the map will show where any restrictions that apply to your vehicle. Currently for a Criti Air Badge 2 there are warnings in place for possible restrictions in the next few days. GERMANY is littered with cities in which even a Euro 6 cannot be driven.

Thanks for that Tigi.

I've put the Green Zone App on my tablet and I now know where and when my Pilote is allowed in any of the 31 Zones across France.

Or any other country I might visit.

Very helpful.

I can't seem to find this app on the play store.....

Just enter "green zones" in the play store  search box comes up first in line

Tried that but no success. Probably my phone's operating system is too old......

As an aside, I did see some very negative reviews of the app (on the web site) - mostly from people who'd used it to buy a crit air sticker and felt ripped off.

For anyone looking to buy a badge only use the government page the current cost is £3.85 after currency conversion and my latest last week arrived in two weeks from applying.
