Thanks David for posting that I thought it would be good to have a Sticky on these sorts of Websites that Members can contribute too and them not get lost into oblivion.

Three useful websites for France:

French Muncipal campsites

Bison Fute

French Fuel Prices

The Bison Fute link takes you to the French Government travel website calendar of likely traffic conditions throughout the year - predicting days when traffic levels will be much higher than normal.  The main Bison Fute website is also useful for many other pieces of travel information, and whilst travelling through France keep a look out for the 'Bis' road signs which will direct you on to alternative route suggestions if traffic levels are high.
