Whichever Vet any of you use please could you post details such as address, price you paid, if English spoken and would you recommend the Vet to others.

With that information I can add the Vet to the Map and, hopefully, help others who travel to France and beyond.

Hi,

September 2017 and we visted Macon north of Lyon - Replonges.

NO CHARGE (again !)

Copy Details from web site link :-

Dr J M Gilbert
478 Route de Madelieine (D1079)
Tel - 03 85 31 07 78
Speaks good English
Plenty of space to park MH
No charge (2013) - used own tablet
46.300377, 4.876058

Update September 2017. Not very easy to find - suggest a check of address and also road name as sat nav struggled. 10 minutes drive from the, fine for a stopover or longer, Macon Municipal site. Vet used to receiving phone calls from lost British and speaks English.

Made appointment prior, smart new roadside clinic with good parking. NO CHARGE ! Yes free and after asking again just 3.40 euros for the worming tablet. Passport stamped up. Pleasant staff but it cant last at this price if everyone goes. Suggest charity donation or a box of chocs for reception. Think the Vet may consider the passport check a stupid rip off who knows ?

Thanks for the updated information.

The fact that I'd spelt the name of the road incorrectly doesn't help anyone find it – I've altered it now.

Have added extra information about driving to the Vet – hope this helps.

And added your suggestion about donation or chocs.

Hope you enjoyed your holiday.

ellemae - many thanks for the information - Anizy Vet added to Map.

Did you have to make an appointment, or just walk in, and did the Vet or receptionist speak good or passable English?

I've not added the Bayeax Vet but may do later as a warning rather than a recommendation.

We didnt make an appointment but the campsite did offer to phone for us. We waited around 20 minutes. We showed the receptionist the passport and got by. The vet spoke limited english but was charming.

Thanks for that - I'll add the appointment info.

Many people ask if the Vet speaks English and seem to be reassured if they do - also added.
