Not a dog pitch!!!!! our German friend booked us into a German site in January, Campingpark Bad Durkhiem Germany, a premium lakeside pitch. She did not mention that we had a dog! arrived late Sunday afternoon, set the van up and our friend picked us up, took us to her house for a meal and drinks, got back late and went to bed. Next morning, we put the awning up and just started pegging down and the site manager came to see us. We are pitched on a sunbathing grass area at the lakeside, no dogs! We explained that their seems to be a mix up with our friend booking and we agreed that the dog would stay at the side of the awning and not at the front on the sunbathing grass area and we would not walk to the dog walk that way. Very good understanding from the site management, the dog pitches are further down and was not a problem at all for us. A very good site with a nice dog walk and plenty of dog walking locally through the vineyards which surround the site and plenty of cycling paths also. Yes, it is premium large lakeside pitch, so no ACSI card discount, but still worth the cost.
